Lisinopril Question:

I was told that Lisinopril WAS in the same ACE Inhibitor Class of Blood Pressure Medications, as Enalapril. Is that True, and how Comparable are they, to take, in regard to Doseage and Frequency? Thanks.

Yes, they are both ACE inhibitors, the pril on the end of the drug name actually designates that.

And Enalapril is actually twice as strong as Lisinopril, so you'd need to take twice as much Lisinopril to equal whatever dosage you were taking of the Enalapril.

IE: 2.5mgs Enalapril = 5mgs Lisinopril

5mgs Enalapril = 10mgs Lisinopril and so on.

And the frequency is usually the same, they are generally taken once daily in oral form.
