I have been taking percocet for about 7yrs now. I was diagnosed with a rare disease 7yrs ago that gives me excrutiating abdominal pain. Well, I recently took a urine test (which I have taken many througout the yrs, and all have been fine), but this last one came back positive for oxymorphone, but negative for oxycodone. Why would this happen and how is it possible? I have never in my life taken anything else for pain other than motrin and the percocet that is prescribed to me. I dont understand. Does anyone know what the case may be? Also, I have not been in the hospital in about 6months, so I know that I have not been given any diff meds than prescribed.

I take oxyCodone 30mg which is Percocet and when it metabolizes in your body it test positive for oxymorphone. This is how they know your actually taking it and not just dropping it in your pee cup for your Ua lol .i know it sounds silly but ppl have done it and they are wise to it now. So the fact you tested positive for oxymorphone was a good thing. I hope this helps.

When you all take Oxycodone your liver motabilizes it into oxymorphone so there for your doctors should know all about this if they do not know about this make them look it up tell them to go back to school. I been on Oxycodone for 9 years now so i know a lot.
