I Hate Methadone

I was on methadone for 2 years at 60 mg. Stopped cold turkey, was in hell for 5 weeks. Please stay away from this devil. My opinion is it's the worst drug on the planet. Also my dad was slowly dying from cancer during my wd. I hate that drug!

You actually went cold turkey from 60 mg everyday to zero with nothing to assist in your Withdrawl process?? It's hard to believe you didn't need to be hospitalized that's a very serious Withdrawl, I'm sure your still experiencing protracted withdrawals this condition can last up to 6 months or more... Was this a clinic you were dosing at??

I feel your pain methadone is what the devil made. I quit cold turkey. I was at 45mg a day i went down to 26mg and i quit cold turkey day 5 and 6 was the worst days for me. Im 23 days clean. Im fighting the beast. Omg its horrible worse then any drug out there i call it the devil.

I was on methadone forv19 years 180 mg a day. That dose was after the drug dealer doctor got in trouble foe giving me an even higher dose and 40 mg oxycontin. I call him a dealer because I did not know anything about either of the drugs he told me to take. I lost many years of my life I had to quit working and take disability. The last 2 years have been hell because of Nitrating down from methadone and oxycodone. Methadone is HELL !!! Thw withzeawls are very serious. I am glad that you got off cold turkey. You must be a very strong person. I was taken off methadone at 40 mg a day. That was in October and I still creel the pain of withdrawal. It makes your body especially the arms and legal and loser back. I have been put on a drug called Levorphanol ? Also taken off oxycodone. My Dr is so afraid of the guidelines that Washington has xrafywd up that he will not listen to my cries and desperation for a quality of life!!! I need a new Doctor that will prescribe pain meds that actually work. I would have never of got on METHADONE if I knew what I know now. Please everyone its a scary and wicked drug that doctors are stopping the prescribing if because of state guidelines and the accidental overdose.
