I'm prescribed 20mg oxycodone and Xanax and take a standard drug screen to make sure I'm using my meds. I used alittle bit of heroin, what will it show up as?

with the 10/12 panel utox that is performed in the office, heroin will show up as an opiate..if you are prescribed oxy's or any other codeine/morphine derivative, you will be fine. If the office sends the utox out to a lab for more in depth results, then the heroin will show up as heroin, morphine may be positive as well, the lab tests for metabolites, so the opiates are now broken down and each medication/drug will be revealed for what it is..probation does in house screening where I go and I hope the same for you. Nothing illegal will show up on your drug screen. You will test positive for benzodiazepines and opiates. And you have prescription for Xanax so the benzodiazepine positive is excused. And you have a legitimate script for oxy so the positive opiate level is also excused. Heroin, Morphine, oxycodone, codeine, hydrocodone, hydromorphone, methadone, Demerol and fentanyl are all opioids and will show up on a tox screen as positive for "Opiates". Nothing else. The specific drug will not be identified, just the fact that you took an opiate in general. Opium comes from the poppy plant, therefore you can also test positive for opiates just by eating a poppy seed muffin.

Morphine can be detected in a urine test for several days after use. If it is a urine GC/MS test it can usually tell the difference between heroin and morphine. If it is a rapid screening test like you buy at the store, for the most part it is detecting morphine.

The amount that you did most likely is gone from the system now so you should test negative, provided you STOPPED taking heroin. Also that small amount most likely would not show up in a hair drug test. Locally where I live several people have died from heroin overdose because it was cut with fentynil (spelling).

The little bit was maybe about .2 or around 3 very small pieces,snorted lines no bigger than a small match. It was white and don't think it was high grade at all because I didn't really even get high or whatever its supposed to do but it did seem to keep my pain away for awhile better than I expected. I know I make stupid spur of the moment decisions when I get upset, maybe the bipolar or just not caring at the time because I let my thoughts take control. They use a 10 panel I believe for non insurance and a different for the gas spec lab test ( SPELLED WRONG SORRY) and I chose the 10 panel,should I have chose the lab test? I know its hard to say for sure but just curious of your opinion and would morphine pills show up the same as heroin? Sorry if you don't understand,I'm just scared because I'm In legitimate pain and never used before,swore I never would but made a mistake and also was around bad influences knowing I should not put myself there and all I had to do was say no but im going through problems,no excuse I know but I'm human and have to deal with the consequences I guess thanks for info and feedback

If you were using a rapid screening urine test like you buy at the store, heroin would show up as morphine but depending on when they test you it might not show up (also depending on how much a "alittle bit of heroin" might be).
