I took 2 mg of Subutex on Saturday afternoon and was drug tested on Thursday afternoon ( 6 days ). How likely will it be detected in urine?

I have my first appt with a Dr so that I can get put on subutex (they only prescribe suboxone to people with insurance, which I do not have). I have been taking 1 1/2 every day for 5 days and I only took a quarter this morning. I'm about 90% sure he will give me a UA (I believe it is the 8 strip one). I was told by my friend that goes to the same clinic that I need to test positive for opies, which is understandable, but he didn't say anything about what would happen I tested positive for buprenoprhine. I guess my question is...1. will it show up in my system on Wed afternoon (2-27) if I have been taking 6 mgs since Mon (2/13-2/22) and 2mgs today (Sat 2/23) and continue to take a quarter until Monday morning. 2.What should I tell the Dr when he questions me about it showing up in my system. My friend says he is a very understanding and sympathetic Dr and he actually told my friend that he expects people to slip and test positive for opies about 1 1/2 months into treatment.

the subutex will be out your system in 3 days and traces will be gone by 10 days hope this helps and it wont hurt your baby ok x

depends on the test as gas chromatography tests can detect if the substance was taken as far back as 10 days but not always, and the urine test can detect drugs used in the last 7 days! and swab test under the tongue can detect anything in the last 10 days but it all depends on your metabolism too and the amount of fluid you drink and how fast your body cleanses itself!! so next time be careful!! and there are many ways round certain tests but difficult to get round the swab test! hope this helps!!

i go to a suboxone doctor. but i like subutex much better.it doesnt give me the headaches that suboxone does, and to be truthful,it covers any thought of a craving in my mind. it speeds me up,i just like it better. question-how do i get my doctor to write it instead of suboxone.everyone i know just about only gets it cause they are either pregnant or have liver problems. any advice on how to ask my doctor for subutex instead of suboxone?

hello. i used about 7 subutex in a 7 day period. last day was saturday morning. i go to the suboxone doctor friday and know i will get a urine test. i have been taking my suboxone everyday since sat. evening and will continue to do so.my question is will the subutex show or not show in my urine friday? it will be 6 to 7 days by then since ive used subutex . thank u very much. a quick reply would be greatly appreciated.

It's a bit difficult to say, because that time frame is actually right on the cusp, since the Buprenoprhine is usually detectable for approximately 5 days in urine.

The precise time frame will vary from person to person, depending on your metabolism, overall health, activity levels, fluid intake and etc.
