I was on Suboxone for a little over a year. I quit about a month ago. I may have to take a urine test for the courts. Will it show up? Should I mention it prior?

heather is right, that's why it's called "self medicating". Could be that a PO would test for Suboxone, because people are taking it without a prescription. Breaking the Rules AGAIN!!

They are not testing for suboxone to punish anyone and not everyone taking suboxone is taking it to help themselves, in the way you mean. Technically, in the way you mean "helping themselves", essentially everyone is taking something to "help themselves" or fix some sort of pain (physical, emotional, or otherwise). Isn't oxycodone and vicodin to help people? Doctors prescribe amphetamines to help people as well. Unfortunately, ALL of them have abuse potential and CAN cause harm in the community and sadly they ALL have the potential to cause people to harm others in the process of obtaining what they need to "help" them. Suboxone and methadone are both meant for "harm reduction" not harm elimination and they both have high abuse potential.

Why would a probation office test for suboxone to begin with ? To punish someone who is trying to help themselves ? That is one of the reasons violent predators are free to roam the streets and rape rob and kill. The bunk that should be forever reserved for them is occupied by someone who has a drug problem and had the nerve,God forbid, to go to a doctor and get a prescription for suboxone. Common sense is very rare today and overcrowded jails and prisons and violent criminals being released early when they should never be released is proof.

I was on 8mg of Subutex the entire time I was pregnant with my son, for the most part. I dropped to 5mg during month 4 so fetal withdrawal would possibly not be as severe. During month 6 1/2 I had to go back to 8mg due to the rising blood volume that comes later in pregnancy. But to answer your question, he ran a slight fever for an hour on the forst day, shook a little and was a fussy eater for about a week. He didn't scream continuously or anything like that. MAKE SURE you keep your baby swaddled, hold the baby as much as possible (your warmth and the sound of your heartbeat will help to calm him/her down), check for rising temp hourly for 1 week just to be safe, and make sure he/she isn't over-stimulated. That means not a lot of company and do not pass the baby around to multiple ppl in one day. I hope this helps :) My email is {edited for privacy} if you need any questions answered.

Hi. I hadn't taken less then a quarter of a suboxone. And I have a drug test coming up. It wasn't that much at all it was crushed maybe less than half a needle size and thinner than a needle but I took it by mouth how long will it take for that to get out of my system I took it Friday of say around 8 and I'm scared to death I will fail the test for personal problems

synthtic only shows if you send of to the lab a reg dip ua test up to 15 panels will not show up i know for a fact not that i say synthtic is good its just they chang formalu so much its hard to nail down

This really offended me, Obviously you don't know what you are talking about, I was on Methadone for 14 years & decided to get off, So I decided to do this by using Suboxone. I was on 150 mgs at the time. Three different doctors told me it would take me starting off on a minimum of three strips to help me, I was still sick with three, (And no it was not in my head) Eventually with a lot of patience, I worked through it using three strips, But my point is that it really all depends on what , how much & for how long you have been using.

Seeing as you posted this months ago, I don't know how it all turned out, but I will say this: Your doc probably didn't believe they were stolen. He most likely thinks you sold them (to a doc, the word "shared" automatically translates to "sold"). So the next time your friend decides to swipe your meds, file a police report. Even if you can't prove they stole them, or just don't want to name her/him, file a report anyway. Then take the report to your doc. Don't know if that will make a difference, but it can't hurt.

This statement isn't true I'm on subs I take them regularly and every mo I get a 12 step ua to make sure I'm taking them and nothing else yes it needs to be tested for specifically but it can be tested in a 12 panel w other drugs not just alone so whatever you read was wrong
