God Awful Medication

I began the starter pack with 10mg for 2 weeks and then moved up to 20mg for 2 weeks. I experienced the WORST ever side affects from an anxiety drug. I have taken many, and this was unbearable. It caused extreme muscle fatigue to the point that it was difficult to move my arms or legs, and increased my appetite, due to the stomach side affects. Food eased the stomach cramps. The worst side affect was my blood pressure was scary high and my heart beat became irregular and fast. After mentioning these things, I was switched over to Effexor - SOOOO MUCH BETTER!!

I have been on this for about 2 months and have AWFUL muscle pain in my legs, arms and back. How long do I have to be off this before these side effects go away? These are not the only side effects I have but definately the ones I cannot live with!!!

Jenny, you actually aren't the first person to experience those side effects, there have been other posts very similar to yours and getting off of the medication was a very smart choice.

And Dani, it should only take 4 to 6 weeks for the side effects to reach their peak and start to taper off, so if you're still experiencing them now, then it probably isn't the right medication for you to take and you'll need to try something else.
