I stopped taking a 300 mg twice a day dose of gabapentin last tues. I feel awful depressed sweaty moody irritated emotional very dizzy. How long will I keep feelin this way? My doc had me stop it right away, because I was suppose to go on lyrica. Which honestly I don't want to start taking pain or no pain. I started slurring my words on the gabapentin then felt like wherever I was, I was inside a bubble it was a terrible feeling ## If you have been on it for such a short period of time, they shouldn't last more than a few days, perhaps a week at most. but it can vary from person to person, so I can only give an average from other anecdotal reports. I just started taking Gabapentin a month ago and my white blood cell count is high, but never has been. Can this be why? So, I started taking subutex, now up to 16mg, and gabapentin 900mg x3 daily. I’ve been to the ER twice in one week. I have episodes feeling like I can't breath. Even though I am getting oxygen, my brain is telling me it’s not enough. I feel like I'm suffocating. I stopped taking gabapentin a week ago, even stopped subutex 16mg for 2 days. Still my breathing doesn't feel right. I just don't feel like myself. I’ve been back on subutex for 2 days. Has anybody felt this way on subutex? I found a bottle of my Gabapentin dated 3/8/2011. I am taking gabapentin 100mg at night for CRPS2. After two weeks I had awful side effects. So, I after discussing w my doctor; I am taking gabapentin during my menstrual cycle as this makes my disability worse. But right after my cycle I got pms bad. Pain and vomiting. Does gabapentin effect hormones? ## Most medications can affect your hormones, according to FDA reports, so your menstrual cycle might change, and you may bleed more, or less than normal. The length of your cycle may also change. Are you on any other medications? Antidepressants are one of the worse for causing such issues, according to NIH studies. ## No. No I am not taking any other medications. I take 300mg of Epleptin per day - have a condition called motor and sensory neuropathy. Still experience a lot of pain in my feet and legs. I suffer from severe memory lapses? I have been taking Gabapentin 600 mg, 4x per day for a total dosage of 2400 mg per day to help keep the nerve endings on my bladder calm for the past two years. I have IC [interstitial cystitis]. I'm noticing now that I'm having great difficulty with my memory and just simply recalling words to use in conversation. I'm also having right, low back pain extending into the hip, thigh and lower leg with leg pain when sleeping. This pain is making it difficult for me to walk or sit upright. I stay extremely fatigued. I'm 42 and my uro took me out of work in Oct of 2011 and I don't see myself returning to work. For four years, I've taken 100mg of Gabapentin (one capsule) along with 0.50mg of Ropinirole (two pills) at night only for Restless Leg Syndrome. I am 76 years old. There were times when I felt that I really could, maybe even should have increased, as directed but I just hate taking any kind of medicines and finally, it felt more ok enough to not increase.
