I have a Kentucky Licenses and went to a pain clinic in GA, they prescribed me Oxycodone 15mg and Hydrocodone 10mg. I have been to several pharmacies in Kentucky and cannot get them filled. Does anyone know where I can get my prescriptions filled rather here in Kentucky or out of state in GA or TN?? Please Help at all if possible, thanks!

Ya welll all your talk about out of staters can't get them... Welll your wrong I know 10 phrmacies that have them every week and and take outta state and its no problem to get them!! Soo stay in your little town hick pharmacy that thinks their GOD because they have what people need but want fill for people who need it. Unless you live n the po-dunk town where you are. Money makes this world go around and if you got the money their are plenty of pharmacies out their that got the time. Stay narrow minded act as if you know everthing and noone from outta state gets nothn filled trying to convince people u know it because ur a professional with all the answers

I'm in KY. If you are going to GA, you aren't getting any oxycodone from my store even if we have it (which is doubtful due to shortages - yes they exist). If you have that much pain, you shouldn't be driving 6 hours to a pain clinic. We're health providers and we're not doing you a service promoting a car trip for 6 hours if you are in that much pain.
Second, we aren't giving out oxycodone information over the phone. Sorry. We value our safety.
Third, it IS OUR JOB BY LAW to determine if a prescription is appropriate before filling. We're not playing God any more than the MD is who determined you needed the med. We're on the hook just as much as the MD who prescribed it.
Finally, I DO know how to compound. I also can read the computer when it tells me there's an interaction. It takes a pharmacist to know how to interpret that. Interactions constantly occur and it takes a trained pharmacist to value the importance of those interactions.
And for those who still think pharmacists are pill counters, go check out what a clinical pharmacist does some time. Many have never counted a pill since school.

Just to give all of y'all a heads up, those of you making trips down here from kentucky, ohio, and tennesse, down to georgia and florida and hitting up all the pain clinics, and walking away from each of them with Oxycodone, Oxycontin, alprazolam, and hydrocodone prescriptions, it is useless to stop anywhere in georgia to try and get them filled. I've worked at 2 pharmacies in georgia over the past 5 years, one was a small one out in the middle of nowhere, and the other in a Big city. And no pharmacy wants to deal with those pain clinic prescriptions with absurd amounts of narcotics on them. Yeah a real doctor wrote them for you, He went to a real medical school, and has a real medical license, and can legally prescribe them because he has real DEA number. But what it boils down to is that what that pain clinic doctor and practice is doing is not ethical what so ever. They are putting dope out there on the streets and getting rich from doing it. And when the drug inspector comes to your pharmacy to inspect it, you don't want him to see that you have been filling these absurd pain clinic prescriptions, because as a pharmacist it is part of their job to determine whether or not the patient needs the prescribed medication which in turn makes them liable for everything prescription they fill. So they are not going to risk their license over filling prescriptions for a bunch of narcotics. Ive seen several that we have turned away that have been for 300+ oxycodone. 200+ xanax. 300+oxycontin. If someone is prescribed to take 13 30mg oxycodone's aday, then they should be laying on there death bed, not walking into a pharmacy with their sunglass still on because they are so doped up. Hospice patients who are about to die within 3-4 days don't even get prescribed the amount of pain medicine that pain clinics write for people. And just to let y'all know, the DEA is about to start cracking down even more on oxycodone prescriptions even more between the north atlanta and south georgia area, so i got new for y'all, y'all aren't gonna be getting them much longer, better find a good street heroin dealer. Because if your from out of the state, if your doctor is out of the the state, no where is going to fill them. The place I work at now, will only fill them if you are from the same town as our pharmacy or if your doctor is in the same town as us, they don't f*** around with no out of town stuff, it don't matter if the town is 20 miles away, and everywhere is gonna be like that soon, so all of you out of state people might as well save your gas, and keep on trucking on I-75, because the DEA agents that inspect pharmacies are telling everyone not to fill those prescriptions if there they are pain clinic prescriptions pretty much, especially if the person or doctor is from out of town, so if your from outta state your just f***ed. Figured id let y'all no, pass the word on, We turned away about 17 people today. and to the person named theZog. People who are in pain get a 7-10 day supply of pain medicine, people who get a month supply are just addicted especially when its 200-300 pills, have f***ing surgery and get the problem fixed and you won't have to have f***ing pain medicine because you want have no damn shoulder problems, or back problems anymore. If your prescribed that much oxycodone I don't see how the f*** you could even get out of bed if it didn't kill you first. Most of y'all probably sell it because medicaid pays for it for y'all and y'all pay $0.00 or $0.50 for several hundred dollars, sometimes thousands of dollars worth of medicine. Who people like me, tax payers are having to pay for. So we thank you

Well for all of you who can't get your stuff filled, I can tell you forsure that I know places that will have it and fill them. No matter the doc, no matter what state your I'd's from, or the quanity you get. They are not cheap, but they always and I mean always have them ever week. I charge a 500.00 broker fee, just like any other consultant would for their time and knowledge but I will guarantee at the end of the day, you will go home with your prescription in hand. Also to throw this out there before someone wants to make a smart ass comment - it will come from a legal, licensed pharmacy with legit bottles, not out of someone's back door. For all of you all that may have something to say about this, I have invested a lot of time, traveling, visiting pharmacy's and phone calls to have this knowledge. Therefore I feel I deserve to be paid for it. If anyone is interested please let me know.

To the dude named chris, first of all I make much more than minimum wage, 2nd of all, I work at a pharmacy as a tech because I'm a College student, not that it is a bad job, but it is much better than working at zaxby's, mcdonalds, or being a waiter like most college kids are stuck with. But I doubt you would know, with all that oxycontin and pain that your in your probably are in too much pain to work anyways. Though You probably never went to college anyways; so you wouldn't understand, I'm sure your the one that is going to be stuck with the minimum wage job for the rest of your life. I'm sure your familiar with the current minimum wage, though you might be to strung out on to many pay pills to work. But my pay rate is 11 dollars an hour, does that sound like minimum wage? It doesn't to me. And I'm not trying to play doctor at all, if i wanted to play doctor I wouldn't be working at a pharmacy, id be at a doctor's office. I was just giving y'all the heads up that nobody wants to fill a lot of narcotic prescriptions from pain clinics, the meds aren't out of stock or back ordered 95% of the time, they just aren't going to fill out of town prescriptions. It's simple, why the heck would one go to a doctors office out of state or ridiculously far away? to get prescriptions no one else will write them, its shady business, and border line legal/illegal. People who are suffering from terminal cancers and in Critical care units don't take as much narcotics as people who go to pain clinics
