Fentanyl Patch Life

I have been on Fentanyl patches for six years increasing dosages every couple years getting to 100mcg/hr q48. For the past three months I am sick, sleeping for 14 hrs at a time, with increased pain in my feet and legs on the second day. The first day on a new patch I feel exceptionally well with diminished pain. Is there a life issue with patches? Do others have this to happen to them?

There have been other people with similar complaints about some of the patches. They are supposed to be time released for 72 hours, but many people have to change them sooner to maintain adequate levels of pain relief.

I am on Oxcodone for break thru pain. I only time have to take it is the second day. Or in the case of the past week every 6 hours or so. I have been sick, sleepy, with my feet hurting to the point I cannot walk. This is the reason for my slow reply. Sorry....
