Failed Urine Test From Fentenyl....

I received a telephone call today from my pain management doctor of almost 7 years telling me I failed a urine test for Fentenyl . I have been taking 25 mcq every 48 hours. I went on vacation and had my entire prescription for the month stolen from my hotel room. It was near the end of my trip. When I returned, I telephoned for more, explaining the situation. They told me "no" and made me wait therefore I had to go through withdrawals. I had tried Fentenyl several years prior and had the WORST withdrawal from it that I could not imagine what I was in for, so I left the patch I had on for 10 days until my next appointment. I figured it would lessen the withdrawal symptoms little by little. Well, I had forgotten that little tidbit of information and never told them. I even forgot it until now telling this story. Anyway, at the appointment I was asked to do my very first urine test. Sure, no problem....again not thinking. So, today's phone call telling me they would no longer be my provider was a SHOCK to say the least. I don't know what to do.... I feel if I go see him and try to explain I sound like a drug seeker. I COMPLETELY forgot that I had used that last patch for 10 days while withdrawing...I doubt he would believe me now. My problem is.....the hydrocodone. I don't mind withdrawing again from Fentenyl, but I need a provider for my hydrocodone as I have 3 back herniations.... I've had a stimulator implant put in and removed...I had evidence of chronic pain in other words...HELP! Am I now blacklisted from another pain management doctor? If I get another appointment with one, should I tell him this story? I am so confused and scared of the pain that's going to come in a month when I run out of meds....HELP!
