Hi BluLotus,

Sorry to hear about your suffering. You mentioned that you had a private matter regarding Tramadol. Reading between the lines I'm curious to know if this has anything to do with Tramadol becoming a Schedule IV controlled substance on August 18th?

What I don't understand though is how that might inhibit legitimate pain patients from obtaining or filling their scripts like any other drug? It doesn't seem to be nearly as dangerous/potent as the likes of Fentanyl or Demerol, but some people do say it's nothing to take lightly either.

Hey David, Thanks for your response. Last night I was in a desperate place... Don't laugh I'm really not a lightweight. Its certainly not as strong as the others memtioned but the thing about tram, and I had a system, was that if you took 1 pill between every 1-2 hours you would gradually get this euphoric feeling--and a calm that could last up to 8 or so hrs. I also have issues w/depression/anxiety do really it was a win-win.
I was just dependent too dependent I guess. Moved out of state and no more access. And yes I heard of new monitoring, don't know the affects will have, maybe now they just won't hand out like candy...of which I'm still 50/50 about.

Hi BlueLotus,

Just wanted to say that I'm not trying to be judgmental about your position. I was only curious because Tramadol seems to be fairly easy to obtain compared to those other medications.

Something else I found that works whenever I personally feel overly anxious or depressed, is simple but repetitive breathing exercises that help bring about that sense of calmness and content. The techniques I do are a part of a program called "breathlight bliss". I find that even 10 minutes of purely focusing on my breathing can really have a lasting and sudden affect on my mood and whether or not I feel melancholy. I tend to think of it as a form of meditation, and a way to turn my sometimes overly active brain off... and was hoping that others such as yourself may find it worth checking out as well as an alternative/adjunctive therapy to what you already do, without having to take more meds. I could describe it in more detail if it's something you'd be interested in.

Hope this helps!
