I went to the hospital for really bad pains and felt like I was having back labor, and they did some test and one was a drug test and said everything was fine but told me that I tested positive for methamphetamine. I do not do methamphetamine at all and they said that nos will not do that and they would not take another test of any sort to fix this, and they tell me that I can not get it taken off my record. I need to know what I can do because this is not right and I will not be labeled something that I am not.

they aren't lying certain energy drinks such as Redline do cause a positive testing for methamphetamine I know this for a fact due to a friend who works doing uas and the only way to get around it is to let them know beforehand so they can write it down

Idk but my brother tested positive for PCP methadone and thc I recommend not drinking them before a drug test

It would.probably be best to have it sent to a lab my doc said that others have had this problem but the lab tests are more accurate I've only heard of this happening with instant tests and when u take an ibprofin with it

The Ranitidine also will test positive, also keep in mind, most labs use the Emit test when do urine monitoring, most do not use the MC/GS because it is an expensive test. YES there are many false positives, I have been doing extensive research on over the counter drugs and other products that can can a positive test. There are right now over 325 otc drugs, and I am sure there are more, in addition there are many other products, like Ma Huang Tea, it is made from the same plant that they make Ephedra out of, and all types of antihistamines, so do your research, be diligent, clear your name.

As someone who has worked in the drug and alcohol rehab community, yes you can have a false positive if you are a heavy, daily consumer of energy drinks. Each person metabolizes things differently and although some may have a false positive, some may always test negative regardless of how many energy drinks they consume. When we have a client who has been in rehab long enough that substances should be out of the body, and a positive result comes back in a UA, it is then sent off for further testing to determine whether or not it is a false positive. Surprise, they usually come back false. While in rehab we try and make sure our clients do not consume energy drinks for this reason.

All I know is that I've been an addict and alcoholic for 37 years of my life the only way you're going to come up dirty on a urine test they know the difference between a false positive results that's what the lab is for if you're dirty means you're dirty

So my boyfriend had a hair test and popped dirty for methamphetamine that he doesn't use, but has only been a chronic marijuana smoker but was negitive for THC. Will his energy drinks he drinks daily (like a lot of energy drinks) cause a positive?

I'm on house arrest and don't use anything, had a monster drink before mouth swab and test shows POS for amphetamine. Waiting for lab test to come back. This really sucks.
