Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 72)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

Yes that was me. Its nice to put a face with a name finally. But you know my name is not tammy but don't like to make it public of course. Hopefully next time if they get this s*** together we can talk, I would call tomorrow and ask if you can fill it tomorrow and tell Amanda that it will be day 31 and to ask the doc to count again cause you will be out they will hopefully understand, technically pharmacists can't write that on your schedule 2 scripts only the doc has grounds to say if you can fill it or have to wait. I got my oxycodone and it is day 29 for me.

Yes mac that was me. I would call them tomorrow and tell them that he wrote that on there and you will be out that day and if the doc will let u fill it tomorrow. And that pharmacy guy can't write on a schedule 2 med because the doc had it as an ok for you to fill today. This guy is going to be a big problem. Mac you will see another post tomorrow probably from me but had to re-write this to get it out tonight for you.

Tam are you having issues with it too? I'VE ALWAYS counted my 30 days from the day I get them and he says that's day zero, so now every 30th day is really 31. WHAT THE F IS THAT ABOUT

No I count it as day 1 and I even said it yesterday that it was day 29 so I would have to fill that day and I did through my pharmacy. That's when I asked about what that guy was talking about and my pharmacy said it was b.s.

See the other doc he seems a little better but then again they all seem like they are confused also. But he claimed that ONLY DOCS HE APPROVES can use him what an a hole. So I take that as only docs I can convince to use me or they will be in trouble b.s. he can take my foot in his a**. But he might enjoy it.

I don't get why they gave you the scripts to take to another pharmacy without writing a fill date on it and I'm screwed till day 31 because he claims that the first day you get them is zero. I want to find another place because this is bs...... if my brother couldn't help me I would be having to stay home from school kicking all day. But I have to give back so that's even less I have. Even Shawn said my absolute last fill day is the 26 and I take it up front and he says the fill date is the 27th. On a month with 31 days that's seriously like 32 days.

Because I can't use his pharmacy yet so he had no say in anything yet except they might cut me since I can't go through his pharmacy so I might be screwed also. But seriously just call and tell Amanda that day 30 is today and they need to let u fill. She will just tell the doc that that guy messed up and write you a new one to fill today.

I came across this thread by accident since I'm getting tired of CPR. I've never done a recreational drug in my life, never a problem with my UA's there (and all my life) and I rarely drink. Heck, I stay away from caffeine, because of a heart condition. I miss Pepsi :{

Last time I was at CPR, the doc (third one in last three visits) said I should up my doses. I refused because of my idealistic desire to keep my dose as low as possible, but I realize now it was only appropriate if I merely wished to sit around the house...nothing else. So, I was going to concede at my next appointment I required an upping after a very depressing month.

I worry now I missed out and the Doc will be "influenced" by this new pharmacy procedure which seems to be more of push on medical practices. Their website is gone with Dr. May.

I have no complaints about Amanda, but WTF happened to this practice? So sad a war Veteran can be injured in combat, dismissed by a horribly corrupt federal institution requiring the private sector to perform the three needed surgeries to fix their horribly misdiagnosed conditions. Then, another federal agency pushes on the private sector to minimize the proper treatment of my 11 year chronic pain.

I will be there on day 29, but if my last appointment was day zero then it will be day 28. Very curious about tomorrow. If Mr. Pharmacy tries to touch my prescription, I will ask for his name and DEA prescribing # ( that he doesn't have) so I can ensure to report his alteration of a physician's Schedule II prescription.

Well, there's my rant, all. I am so peeved by all these hoops and ill treatment of legitimate and compliant patients now at CPR.

Raqed with pain I feel you. I used to LOVE CPR. And now I feel like I need to find a new doctor. First I got cut down from 180 30s to 120 30s, now they're saying the DEA regulations say that everyone needs to be at 3 break thru meds a day. Even though I found NOTHING of the sort on the DEA.gov website. In fact, I will try to find it, but it said on their site that they have no interference with doctors or pain patients. They simply want to enforce the laws that are in place. They aren't crushing us down slowly. I think it's BS from the DEA, but I also think it's BS from this new pharmacy rep.

I just talk to Amanda , about this meds stuff .Nothing is different except your not able to fill three days early as before .It's up to the pharmacy tech how soon you can fill your script. From your bottle last time is the next time you can fill .Mine says July 31 so Aug 31 I get mine wich is exactly how many pills I have .She told me unless people over took pills Noone will run out hope that helps.

Actually they will run out because if you don't get your meds until the 31st day then it's automatically going to cause you to have one day where you're out. Even if they come sometime on day thirty, if they count day one as day zero, then a thirty day script lasts 29 days...... That's what I don't understand.

they discharged me because they claim I wrote on the prescriptions!!!!! WHAT THE HELL DID I DO WRONG TO DESERVE THIS!?!?!?!?!? SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME WITH A DOCTOR!!!!!

They accused me of changing the do not fill until 8/27 to 8/22, which makes no sense because the script was written on the 25th so why would I try to change it for a day that's before the prescription was written!!! But there was a blue pen under my cd deck where I put my paper scripts, that HAD to have been it because I KNOW it wasn't me purposefully changing it when I know exactly what that would get me, THIS!!!
