Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 233)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

ELefante. - perhaps an explanation will help, this is imo so take it for what it is worth. None of us want to lose our great docs. So we don't want them to be bugged by drug seekers, I am not swyiny u r one at all. But if someone is in pain, reading 100 pages of posts, driving many miles, giving up all fun to pay dr fees of 500 to start. Is worth it. It won't take more than an hr to find the info u are looking for. We want to protect our docs.

I think there is a huge crackdown on oxy, I have rarely taken it so imho, there are other things that work as well, don't be fooled by mg, different drugs work difderently, give a little, keep an open mind, it makes yr doc job easier and u don't appear to be a drug seeker, I didn't believe in accupunture, yoga at all but it does work for me and I was all what a joke at first.

I HAD MY DR APPOINTMENT TODAY AND THEY WERE GREAT! !! I SAW THE PA FOR MY FIRST VISIT. ...DID NOT HAVE MY RECORDS AND HE KEPT ME ON THE SAME MEDS THAT I HAVE BEEN ON FOR YEARS. HE WAS VERY UNDERSTANDING AND IS EVEN SENDING ME FOR A MORE RECENT MRI AND XRAYS. THE MONEY WAS WORTH IT AND THEY KNEW EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED WITH CPR AND SAID THAT THEY ARE READY TO START SERVING THE PATIENTS FROM CPR. THEY AGREE THAT THEY LEFT ALOT OF REALLY SICK PEOPLE IN A VERY SH***Y POSITION. I RECOMMEND DR SHAWN AND HER ASSISTANTS. I GAVE THEM A 15 OUT OF 10. WELL WORTH THE TIME AND MONEY.

Wow! What a difference between your experience and Mark's. I cannot understand such an extreme difference in treatment.

Hello everyone, Dr. Glazer used to be my doc at CPR, she once suggested that my pain was due to extreme emotional problems. and I had to see a psych doc in order to keep being seen and receiving my medication. If she forms an opinion, it is very hard to sway her. I had MRI's and other evidence, have been going to CPR for over 10 years with never a problem. 5 ruptured disks in lower back, 2 in my neck and other issues. The psych doctor said that she did not agree with Dr. Glazers assessment and I signed a release for them to talk with each other. She is a great doctor, but if she doesn't like you, she doesn't like you!

I just located Dr. Hector Lopez Frisbie at this place. Does anyone know if he left CPR to go here and didn't give any notice. I am so angry right now, I do not know who to believe. What is going on? Why hasn't CPR gotten a new doctor yet? They should not be having this much trouble. Does anyone think they are stalling us so they can cover their behinds on something? Has anyone requested their records and been denied?

Oh dear Mark, I am feeling for you.. seems you got the short end of stick. From what I thought the Dea ,fda,cdc, one of them alphabet gangs wanted us on an ER one every 8-12 hours and 4breakthrough a day. So this Dr u paid a lot to see, only gave you immediately released at the lowest dose and no ER? I'd rather have my ER,than my IR. Really go to Hong, I know u just paid out the a$$ but his info is on this thread ,I've given it out too many times.
My only suggestion get an appointment asap, he will lol at your PDMP, and you'll be able to fill the same day cuz he 'll give you an ER, most likely a different IR.

What is shady about CPR is that if they are letting patients get their meds this month from another doctor. Why not call them and tell them, not just leave us hanging. Most of the patients don't use this site and are in pain right now thinking they have to wait. That is wrong.

I have found help, but I miss my people at CPR even with everything that has happened, but Amanda is working on it and soon she will find someone to help us. It's something that she can not control and she hates this. But there are doctors to help, you just have to search for one that will not change your meds. I found one but like everyone says it high the first visit and then once he gets you were you need to be then it's every other month. He is strict but good dr. D look back for his phone number. If your a seeker then you need to seek elsewhere, if it's true pain and can't get up and go or enjoy life without pain then go if your looking for a high then you need rehab. Or you will die one day and not mean to. Then it's to late. If your needing money don't go sell your drugs, go get a job. It's better, no jail time and you will be at peace with yourself, but pain is hard to deal with and no one should have to suffer with pain. And a lot of us do because of the drug seekers and getting mad when a doctor wont give what you want. Doctors are not stupid, I'm in the medical field and when we see a seeker we know what your doing when you go in throwing your arms and bending every way you can but saying oh god I'm in pain doc wtf are you thinking you must not be thinking cause we medical people can look at you and talk to you and we know if your truly in pain or not and the ones that do this, its your fault those in pain have to suffer, get mad and tell on doctors because they wont help you.

I can tell you that i have heard from Dr. Frisbie. I listened to rumors from Cordant, and others. I do know for a fact that what another person said on here happened, is actually happened. Someone made false allegations against dr. Frisbie to the medical board we could be waiting three months or longer for dr. Frisbee to be cleared of any and all charges which he will be because they are not true. CPR is trying to find a doctor to fill in for him in the meantime unfortunately doctor's right now are not easy to come by.

Smalls, Dr. Frisbee at rmim? That's very interesting. Hey folks, I've been off the thread for a year while separating from my husband, Phoenix here. My appt at cpr was canceled on the 20th of September. I went to my primary at rmim and they gave me half if my ir oxy script but no er's. We're all in the same pickle here. I always read back 5pgs or so, so I can get semi-caught up on whose doing what. This is a huge problem with cpr and the new regulations are ridiculous. It's an election year so I was thinking some legislation would come up to make matters worse. Sure enough, and btw it's not those staunch conservatives pushing this. This is all thanks to nobamacare. Don't we love socialism seeing how it worked so well for Europe. Psh, it's all aggravating. I haven't had a call back or anything since the 20th. Dear Amanda told me to go to my primary care or the er to get taken care of in the interim. That's thoughtful, huh? I think it's time to give Dr. Hong a call. Although personally, and i preface this by saying i may be stereo-typing here but I've always felt that Asian docs didn't like to prescribe opioids. I thought they generally take a holistic approach. But after hearing about Dr. Hong I'm calling there. I don't have 5 bills to drop on a new Doc. For that I should be getting a lot more than a couple scripts. Like the fountain of youth location or several good or gases. Just kidding folks. Have to laugh so we won't cry. Thanks for the feedback on your recent appts. guys and everyone else out there sharing and helping each other. Always good to see the positive side of humanity when we're all trying to get thru this sticking point in our lives which at times feels very de-humanizing.

I wasn't saying anything bad about Fresbie I think he is great, I am saying that Amanda and her mom need to be making calls to patients letting them know they can seek treatment from someone else I till they find someone not just having patients wait till they call after they find another provider. Instead she is probably out playing instead of doing the right thing which is letting patients know they won't get in trouble for seeing another provider till they have someone. That is what is shady and wrong with this situation this is all stressful enough for patients then to worry about being in pain and not having any relief because they think they will get in trouble or fired from pain management. It's BS and Amanda needs to start making calls now since it might be anywhere from 1 week to months.

Confused 2 if you would call or go there to the office you would know she is giving a letter to all patients they are trying to call everyone so take it up on your self and call or go there during office hours and pick up the letter and you see it says you will not get in trouble to go to another doctor until they fix things.

I received a call back today from Rocky Mountain Pain Specialists, they are taking new patients, they accept Medicaid and insurance. They will not accept cash patients which is what i am. My husband accepted a new job and doesn't have benefits for 90 days. But i wanted to give everyone on here the information. I do not know what kinds of treatments they offer. I hope this can help some of you.

Hey Man my Name is Andrew I could really use the name of that pain doctor because I keep running into these Insurance chasing Cash Cow Milking of my insurance and Medicaid of wanting to do those back injections that they try to bill my insurance for a couple Grand a pop that they made off of me a specifically today with getting back injection of witch I agreed to try today that was the worst experience I've ever had at a doctor's office I have never been blackout drunk or even high for that matter on marijuana but from what I've been reading around doing my research online it was basically like a legal street drug they shot me up with to try to help with the back pain the world was spinning I didn't know where I was at I was in and out of consciousness ended up throwing up my whole stomach lunch and then on top of that while I was knocked out they bring back a prescription that I did not even agree to of 1 to 2 tabs less of my pain meds that I need to function at work and to sleep and I ask them why they did that and they gave me the whole song and dance of you're too young to be on that much then as I tried to talk to the doctor about what my needs were she walks off she is absolutely horrible bedside manner didn't explain anything to me of which the side effects would be other suggestions or what to expect and now 12 hours later I am in more back pain when I was 12 hours ago not to mention finally getting my body and my head screwed back on straight and feeling better from her jackassaerie of a shot but she probably just made two grand off of me; and by all means I wish I did not need this many pain pills at my age but am I having the back pain that I am yes have I been into severe car accident yes but where those two car accidents by my choice no and to be in the state that I'm in right now no so by all means do not go see her her name is Dr. Gillespie she practices out of Greeley Colorado and she's basically a horse injections pain doctor and on top of that she looks like the Crypt Keeper with a blonde wig on!
So I would greatly appreciate the name and info about the doctor you're seeing with helping me get to in contact with your pain management doctor please??
