Doctors Willing To Prescribe Heavy Pain Medication In Colorado (Page 231)

I have a serious problem. My dr. had two patients start dr. shopping and has decided it is too big of a pain in his butt to continue prescribing, even though I have gotten MRIs and Xrays to prove my problems. I have over a half a dozen herniated discs in my low back, along with degenerative disc disease, spinal stenosis, scoliosis and arthritis in my facet joints. I am currently on5 30mg oxycodone a day for breakthrough and 60mg of methadone for my long lasting meds. I REALLY need a doctor in the Denver, CO area who will not judge me because of my age, thinking I'm just some drug seeker as I TRULY need my meds to function. I am even being placed on disability until I can get my back healed because if something doesn't change I will be in big time pain for the rest of my life. If ANYONE knows of a good doctor that prescribes strong meds willingly in the Denver area please let me know. I am in desperate need of help as I am going to be SCREWED if I cannot find a good doctor. SOMEONE please help me with a doctor!!!!!

THANK YOU FOR THE INFO JANEDOE. I'M GOING TO TRY KRATOM TODAY. THE LAST DAY TO BUY IN DENVER IS THURSDAY. I WILL POST AND LET YOU KNOW HOW IT WORKS.

I am trying this too. The series the Denver Post did on opioid abuse in Denver mentioned it.
Of course something that may actually help us will now become illegal, sigh

Does anyone know anything about mountain medical injury and pain profession are they good doctors and keep what you are on or is it a waste of money? I think a dr Shawn is in this one

Cindy - If they make it illegal after we purchase it, can we still use it? Or if it come up in our urine, do we run the risk of losing everything?

Run a Google search for: "Denver family warns others about dangers of legal herbal stimulant" for an article by kdvr on concerns about Kratom.

After reading this I am going to stay away. I already have to many health issues.

DR DEX RAISED HIS FEE TO 500. I WOULD RATHER STAY AT CPR.....THERE ARE NO OTHER ALTERNATIVES AND IT SUCKS. EVERYONE LOOKS AT YOU LIKE YOU'RE A JUNKIE WHEN YOU REALLY DO NEED YOUR MEDS JUST TO BE FUNCTIONAL EVERYDAY. I'M BEYOND FRUSTRATED. I WENT TO THE ER AND THE DR THERE TOLD ME TO ICE MY BACK AND LEFT THE ROOM. HE'S BAT S*** CRAZY. I DON'T WISH THIS PAIN ON MY WORST ENEMY. PLEASE UPDATE ANY INFORMATION THAT YOU GET ON NEW DR'S....

I am new to the area of 6 mo, I came here to monument co after living in whiteman Afb mo. I had the same doctor for 10yrs no problems with Meds at all. I move here and I start out with a dr called dr Joyce lee (she was amazing she played with my Meds for a few months and got them to a point where the first time in 15yrs I was no longer living my life around pain, but just living) but then at Gorman med in Colorado Springs I come in for my appt and she had never come back to work. So I was switched over to a brand new rite out of school pa and in 1hour my Meds were dropped by more then half the dose and times. In 2 month i have had them change my patch from 75 every 48hrs to 50 every 72 hrs even though it was proven that the patch stop working at around 48. So because they decide change me from fenthly to bruspar. Which I was in so much much pain in my stomach from it in less than a month I lost 20lbs. My oxycodone 15 was dropped to 10. Then it was stopped and put on diluted 1mg. I just want to find a doc close to me who will help me be a mom and a wife and to one day go back to work. I almost had it, but she left. I am scared that with whatever laws y'all are talking about I am stuck with a management group that seems to wrap around this state. I believe I have a right to be as close to pain free as possible, not to the right of pain free to the limit of the dea. Help me find a dr in Colorado Springs who is willing to treat me as a patient with chronic, that needs higher doses. Please.

WENDY.. Dr. Dex now charges $500 for initial visit (it went up from $420). $320 every 2 months..although you only see him every other month.

It's actually Kratom and it's a supplement that you can buy legally, but from what some people in here are saying it will be illegal soon...

Question where did you guys receive the info about it going illegal? Will it be a state to state thing?
