I am in prison with a badly stumped toe with continued pain now diagnosed as some form of arthritis. I am bipolar taking Deprokote and have been given a green capsule (Cymbalta), I guess for "arthritis" toe pain. I was told the green capsule was Feldene. Friend informed me that Feldene is in blue/maroon capsule or maroon capsule; not green. Is Cymbalta the only drug in a green capsule or pill? Lilly 3237 is on the blue half, and 60mg is on the yellow half. It is manufactured by Eli Lilly and Company. Does Cymbalta always have to come in a sealed bottle from Pharmacy? ## DOES CYMBALTA ALWAY COMES SEALED WITH A SIVER FOIL AND TOP IN A BOTTLE FROM PHARMACY? ## No, it could also be dispensed in a regular prescription bottle. The ones that you mentioned are actually factory sealed and if your pharmacy has them in the right amount to fill your prescription, then they are allowed to dispense them like that, since there is no need to count the tablets. It just depends on what supply they have in stock and their dispensing practices. Have you been having some problem?

will cymbalta show positive on a DOA=7, panel 6 urine test? ## Cymbalta contains Duloxetine, it is an SNRI antidepressant, so theoretically, no it shouldn't show up on drug testing, because these are not substances that are including in the testing. However, some other medications in this same class have been shown to cause false positives on some drug tests for substances such as LSD and Amphetamines. If you have a prescription for it, you should also inform them of that, when you go in for the test. Are there any other questions or comments?

I just went from 60 mg to 80mg of cymbalta. I have fibromyalgia, neuropathy and depression and anxiety. Has anyone taken 90 mg and did it help you? ## It didn't help me when I took it, but I am probably not the best judge. I tried it years ago and have since found out I was misdiagnosed and being treated for the wrong thing. It was not going to do anything to help the pain I was having. A higher dose may cause a resurgence of the side effects, such as: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and weight gain. Has it been working for you? ## Hello, I'm looking for help for my mother. Have been on cymbalta and now prrestique....nausea every day and very constipated...have been seeing my gastro dr. and think that the meds have been the reason. ## Unfortunately, most prescription medications can cause both of these side effects, you may also experience: drowsiness, dizziness and headache. They should wear off as your body adjusts to the medication. Does anyone know if cymbalta raises your pulse rate . Mine is running 90- 110 since I started taking it. ## Cymbalta - I am on the lowest dosage but my B.P. has really climbed. I have been taking 120mgs. of cymbalta for yrs. for depression, I also have chronic pain, it does Nothing for my pain whatsoever. ## Cymbalta contains the active ingredient Duloxetine, it is an SNRI antidepressant. It has been shown to help some people with pain, however, there is no medication that works for everyone person that takes it. It also may not help your pain if you have been on the same dosage for a long period of time, because your body is used to this dosage. I complained to my primary care physician that the Paxil CR (37.5 mg daily) was controlling my hyper-self-critical thoughts and general anxiety well, and that 1 mg of Lorazepam 3 times a day was controlling my panic attacks, but that over the past year, my depression has become more acute and frequent. She said she doesn't mix meds, so she prescribed Cymbalta instead of Paxil. But I wasn't given a lower dosage of Paxil to ween me off of it, lessen any withdrawal, etc. Is this normal? i am curently taking cymbalta and i lost hair on my face.does anyone know if cymbalta could be the reason for this,if so im getting off this ## It all depends on how long you've been taking it, your medical history, etc etc. There are numerous side effects listed on the page for Cymbalta Details, but hair loss is not specifically listed. A number of complications and conditions may take place which could result in what you're experiencing but without knowing your medical history it is almost impossible to tell. I would recommend letting your prescribing physician know because they might decide to switch your meds. You may also find the to be helpful. I'm taking paxil, lamictal, adderall, ms contin and my doc wants me to try cymbalta since I've been wanting off of paxil for a long time. I have lupus, fibromyalgia, adhd, and severe clinical depression. Does anyone know the meds that do not interact well with cymbalta and/or has anyone swapped from paxil to cymbalta? ## Well that is quite a list of meds that you are taking, I would honestly suggest you speak with your pharmacist, since they have them all logged in the computer, they can check those reactions for you. This is one of the reasons you should never pharmacy hop. I've just tried Cymbalta for 90 days. From the first it greatly helped my diabetic neuropathy in my feet. However after 2 months, I started gaining weight, and having irrational thoughts. I also had a bad taste in my mouth. I tapered off the drug for my own mental well being. I'm looking for another anti-depressant that doesn't have these side effects. ## These are common side effects to this medication, however, not everyone experiences them. This is an SSNRI antidepressant, so you may want to speak to your doctor about just trying an SSRI or perhaps an MAOI. Has your doctor made any suggestions?

I have been on Cymbalta for three years at a dosage of 60 mg taken once a day in the morning. For the last two weeks I have had frequent panic attacks and feel Cymbalta is losing its effectiveness. I am wondering if upping the dose might be necessary or spreading out the dosage throughout the day would work better. Or maybe, is there a newer medication out that other Cymbalta users have tried that is more effective.
