Cramps
UpdatedI am Diabetic, and used to get a lot of very painful Cramps, mainly at nights. 2-3 per night, 4 -5 times a week. I'd tried most things, but with little effect. So I discovered that what would help was Potassium and Magnesium, as it feeds the Muscles. Tried an effervencent pill, and that gave me violant diarrhoea. (Aquilea). Then I was told to try half a Banana a day. I have now been 95% free of Cramps for 3 years. Great.

Yes, the potassium is especially important to our muscle health and, if you are low in it, it will often cause bad muscle cramping.

However, too much of it can also be dangerous, so please make sure you don't overdo it. There is a blood test your doctor can do to check the level for you.
I always drop low, for reasons we have never discovered, so I usually have to take supplements, or use a medication that helps retain it in my body.
