Hi Lynda,
Based on my research, apo-citalopram is generic Citalopram. From what I've heard, the FDA permits generic formulas to vary by as much as 20% from the active ingredients in brand formulas. Were you prescribed this medication? I've been given a generic before without my knowledge, I don't think it's uncommon but it is quite frustrating!

Hi Lynda,
APO-... is the suffix that pharmaceutical manufacturer APOTEX uses. as for CO-..., I'm not sure myself.
I do agree with Jenna and believe that both of them would be generic Citalopram.
