Yellow tablet, one side blank and the other has AN 512 ## Just recently, I received an email with a request to identify this med, it wasn't easy to find, but with some careful searching, I did locate its id. This is a med that is not available to the general public via your doctor or pharmacy, this is manufactured for and dispensed only by Veteran's Affairs doctor's, via their hospitals and clinics. This is Salsalate 500mgs, a Salicylate, commonly given for arthritis suffers to help with pain and inflammation. ## I need indentification on a pill that is a yellow round tablet and it has AN 512 imprinted on one side

Has generic indomethacin ER 75MG been discontinued by Eon labs? Is there another generic manufacturer that makes this drug? ## The database that I use does not list the manufacturer, because it says there are several who make it as a generic, but it does list the 75mg ER as being still available. ## I just picked some up for my wife at Kroger pharmacy. ER 75 mg, mfg: EON LABS. ## Yes, as I said, it is definitely still available. The one by Eon may have been discontinued, but most generics are made by many different manufacturers, so just because one company stops production, that doesn't necessarily mean it isn't available at all anymore.

## I am having problems when I started taking this drug, now that i am off it it has left severe back problem in which i need help out of bed every morning. ## The problem could actually be caused by your stopping the drug abruptly. Since it reduces inflammation, it might have been reducing it in an area of your spine where you have damage or swelling and then by stopping it, your body is unprepared to regulate that condition on its on, kind of a withdrawal effect, and the pain and inflammation has gotten worse. I would recommend speaking to your doctor so they can check out the problem and see exactly what is causing it.

rarthritis ## New drug I am taking and want to know more!DR ## I started taking it in May of 2007 also. I can only tell you what I have gathered through reading and talking with my Rheumatoloist. According to the literature with the prescription and on line it is indicated in treating certain cancers and rheumatoid conditions. If in doubt why it is being prescribed for you and what to expect, watch for and how it is intended to hopefully help you talk to your doctor. If your doctor doesn't want to take the time to make sure your questions are answered find a new one! I take it for Spondylarthropy. My doctor explained that it is intended to poison the bone marrow. Which in turn would lower my white cell count which is hoped to, also in turn, to slow down the inflamation. There are si...

Taken to manage Rheumatoid Arthritis ## plaquinil destroyed my father's bone marrow. he took it for 6 yrs unaware of this as a side effect. he now has CHF and has been in and out of the hospital for the past month with 4 units transfused. ## Very sorry to hear that Patricia, unfortunately all medications have side effect risks and sometimes to treat another condition or to get well, we have to take the risk if there are no other options.

sl on one side, 391 on other. yellow and oval ## This is actually a fairly old pill, this company has been purchased by Pliva and all of them have kept the same numbers but now say Pliva in place of the SL marking. It is, however, Salsalate 750mgs, a generic for Amigesic and many others. It is a mild pain reliever that can also reduce fever and inflammtion, but it is non-narcotic.

Blue, round pill with 93 on top and 711 below it. ## I found one of these too, did you receive any information on it? ## this pill is Flurbiprofen ## is it a pain killer? ## This is Flurbiprofen 100mgs, a generic for Ocufen. This is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory agent. This one is mostly used to prevent inflammation and irritation of the eye, though some doctors may use it for other things as well. This is the same drug class as Ibuprofen and Acetaminophen.

What is an oval white pill marked with 300c? ## This is glucosonate sulfin (sp?). It is 500mg and used to keep joints from getting stiff by providing more of a fluidity for movement. ## I believe the more common name for it is now Glucosamine, often sold in supplements along Chondroitin and sometimes MSM as a joint/flexibility supplement such as Joint Flex, and etc.

treats arthritis, this maybe the generic name ## I could be wrong about this but I believe Adequin is the brand name. It is an injection used for animals with arthritis. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't think it is prescribed for humans yet. ## Yes, as of this time it is only available for animals, though it does work wonders for dogs with arthritis. ## That's what I hear. I sure could use something like that for my lupus joint pain! I have tried all of the heavy duty things, oxycontin, oxycodone, morphine, dilaudid, demerol, etc. I find myself coming back to the hydrocodone 10/500 or 10/325. Capsule yellow/clear. white granules ## This is Indomethacin Sustained Release 75mgs, a generic for Indocin, this is a Nonsteroidal Anti-inflammatory. The problem here is that this is an older pill, it was manufactured by Able Labs, who were shut down in May 2005 by the FDA for poor quality control. Some of their meds have no active ingredient, and some had too much, resulting in dangerous amounts in some of their pills and capsules. So your best bet would be to FLUSH this one.

Vioxx really helped me when I was on it. Do you think they will ever bring it back on the market. Or is there another drug that works as good.I am allergic to Daypro and Cataflam. Any one have any ideals?? ## Is the perscription drug Vioxx now available for consumer purchase? My husband took vioxx and says that it worked better for him then anything he has been on since the recall. ## I haven't found anything that works as well as Vioxx. I am currently taking Mobic but not getting the relief I got from Vioxx. It's short-lived and not as effective. Any news of another promising med for osteoarthritis?
