What happens when u take teva 74 with alcohol? What are the side affects? ## The tablet with this marking contains 10mgs of Zolpidem, the active ingredient in Ambien, which is used for the short term treatment of insomnia. It should not be combined with alcohol, because both can cause central nervous system depression and using both can enhance this side effect, which could put you in danger of respiratory or cardiac arrest. In addition, they can both cause psychomotor impairment. Is there anything else I can help with?

i recived a whit oblong pill with the word safe written on it is it ambien? ## There have been several reports from people who have received these as Ambien/Zolpidem from a foreign source, however, since they are not from the U.S. this site does not have any records of this imprint and can't confirm what they contain. If it is Zolpidem, it may cause side effects, such as: nausea, dizziness, short-term memory loss and hallucinations. Do you know where they were manufactured?

I was ordered to start random UA's for alcohol by Social Services. Actually it is voluntary. My agreement is to not use alcohol. I ua'd today. Last night I took a 1 blue generic valuim and an ambien . Supposed 10Mg each. Will they even look for that ? or just the alcohol. And will I get in trouble if they do see it? ## Unfortunately, there is no way of knowing the answers to those questions. What is detected depends on what type of test they are doing. If they are only doing one that checks for alcohol, then you should be fine. However, if they do a broader test that checks for other substances, as well, then the Diazepam in the Valium, which is a Benzodiazepine would probably also be detected. The Ambien contains Zolpidem, it's a sedative hypnotic and is not something that ...

can ambiene be addictive? can u be pregnant while on ambiene? how long should someone be on ambiene without long term problems? ## Ambien contains the active ingredient Zolpidem and, like any other medication, it can be habit forming, if taken for a long period of time. As to long-term problems, it is actually only meant for the short-term treatment of insomnia, it is not intended to be used for lengthy periods of time. It is usually only prescribed for 2 to 6 weeks. There are some potential risks, if it is used during pregnancy, so it should only be used if your doctor has specifically recommended it and is monitoring your use of it. IS TEVA 74 MADE OF THE SAME COMPOUND AS AMBIEN, OR DOES IT HAVE SLIGHT VARIATION..?? ## The pill in description is Zolpidem (10 mg), which is actually the generic for Ambien; however Generic Zolpidem is approved for the short-term (usually about two to six weeks) treatment of insomnia while Ambien CR is approved for long-term use….so I am assuming it may not be exactly one in the same (having a slight variation as you mentioned). NOTE: Zolpidem has not proven effective in maintaining sleep and is more used for sleep initiation problems. For more information about this drug, please refer to the link below... If you have any more questions or concerns, please post back and I will be happy to help you.

Zolpidem is a sedative hypnotic, so it can cause those side effects, as well as the drowsiness and dizziness that it is known to cause. As of Dec 2010, both Ambien & Ambien CR 6.25 mg are available in USA as generic. For some reason the FDA didn't approve the 12.5 mg CR version. The pharmacy I use in India won't sell any versions of any hypnotic. They must be afraid people will abuse them. ## Well, even in the U.S. there are concerns about abuse and addiction, so it is only approved for the short-term treatment of insomnia and is usually only prescribed to be taken, as needed, for 4 to 6 weeks, at most. It has also been known to cause some problematic side effects, such as: hallucinations, memory loss, sleep eating and impairment of judgment. Learn more: Are there any questions or comments?

received pill, supposed to be ambie,10mgs,,white ,longshaope, about i inch,no markings ## i'm located in Katonahn N.Y.10536..the 2 packages of tablets (Lunesta &Ambien 10 mgs were identical..Round, Peach colored, Came from India..No Markings at all) I find that very suspicious ## Yes, I find it suspicious as well, as they are different medications, so they should not be identical. However, this is the hazard of ordering from a foreign source, you have no way of knowing what it is that you received, because they are not regulated like medications are in the U.S. That said, without markings, there is no way to know for sure what you have, unless you would pay to have it lab tested.
