Adderall Xr 20mg. Blue Capsule (Page 4)

Pharmacy recently switched me to new generic brand (blue capsule) of adderall XR. I have never seen this brand and I don't feel like it is effective. I lack concentration and focus, recurring symptoms of ADHD. Anyone else experience this?

This pill is really unacceptable. I thought CVS had someone swap out my pills because I have been on it for 3 days and still can’t focus. I think the people that approve this needs to rely on it to get their job done

I just took the blue actavis-elizabeth pill generic adderall 20mg blue oblong 3060, and I'm dozing in and out of sleep with what what I think are called "brain zaps", it feels like a strong reflex electrical pulse that zaps in the back of your head by the brain stem, and makes you have a jolt type reflex. What is this generic adderall? Why would this be having an opposite reaction compared to trade name adderall? I feel like I can't see clearly either, it's really hard to focus on reading, I have never experienced any generic or trade name of adderall like this before. Don't let your pharmacy prescribe this to you, ask first, I'm never getting this stuff again.

I've had the blue 20 mgs xr (er) twice. They're just like any other generic I've had (orange ones, brownish) The downfall is they seem to decrease in effectiveness when on them for over 30 days, so I switch pharmacies every month. It also gives me headaches sometimes. Everybody is different though. The name brand seemed to work the best for me. The generics have basically all been the same for me.

I just started taking Adderall this year and it has really, really helped. I just filled my prescription being back from college at my usual, local Pharmacy (first time filling it at my local Pharmacy). I wasn't aware I was taking a generic form, let alone there are different manufacturers of generic Adderall. I noticed right away that whatever I was taking this time just wasn't working. It wasn't a placebo effect, I was sure of it. It caused me to be angry, gave me mood swings, and made me really hungry. None of these things happen to me even before I started taking Adderall. It turns out my local Pharmacy gave me generic adderall manufactured by Activis, when at school the Pharmacy was giving me generic manufactured by Corepharma. I was shocked just how big of difference I had between these two. I finally found a Pharmacy around me that uses Corepharma, though I had to buy it without insurance since it had been less than 30 days. It was only $90, and it was worth it to me. Everything is back to normal and i'm in a really good place. How is something like this possible? It just doesn't make sense. It's like I was taking a totally different medication.

After moving I had to switch pharmacies and they provided me with the. Actavis Elizabeth LLC 10mg 3059 and it's not only ineffective it dramatically increases my photophobia and disorientation if I move too quickly I feel like I have vertigo

I have the same problem.

I got a 30 day refill at Costco which I noticed worked much better than what I had before. I need to use Express Scripts to get the best price and when I recently refilled with them, I received different pills. These were made by Activas and do not work at all. I take this for narcolepsy and fall asleep an hour after taking it.

Me also! Last 2 scripts of Adderall 30 mg, peach and is the Adderall is Salts so the Dextroamphetamine is in there. Making me sick, no positive effects. Seems to be Activis lab that is the issue. Is it?

I agree with the other posts. The Actavis blue pills are totally ineffective. I was switched from the orange generic 20 mg XR capsules to these 2 months ago and I am very unsatisfied. Good to know its not just me!

I need to find out who is the manufacturer for the orange generics I had for years before so I can call around and request these specifically.

I have been on adderall xr 20mg orange pill made by teva which is generic since I have medical. I recently got the blue actavis script and it's so F****n Bunk! I feel like I'm on some filthy street drug. I am a 4.0 engineer student and this day after day I never stopped getting headaches. My head is pulsing. I took xanax just to make my headache go away after everyday that I had decided to give the blue pill a shot. I have been taking nothing instead of this crap till the next re-fill because my doc will only write generic because i go to a crappy poor clinic that can't write brand name... So raged... It's a day before finals week and now I'm f****d. All because my old doc retired. Flush this blue stuff down the drain!

Yes I too just got my first blue addy's almost a month ago and it is way less effective verses the orange one's I took for years. I thought I was the only one that noticed the difference.

While I'm no fan of big pharma, I think we need to be placing the blame on the guilty party here - insurance companies. If there's one person left on this planet who still believes their health insurance company is committed to their health and well being, OR that they're trying to save US money then that person is far too stupid to breathe. Corporations - any corporation - have only one purpose, their reason for existing, and that is to MAXIMIZE PROFITS for the SHAREHOLDERS - rich, old white guys who have 6 mansions all over the world, who are paid several million a year for sitting at a desk maybe 3-4 hours a day a couple times a week, go to $300 lunches with other insurance CEOS to discuss ways to CUT BENEFITS for patients even more, and travel to the world's greatest golf courses the rest of the time to relax and get their nasty leathery tans they think make them look young along with their bad comb-overs that cover nothing. Oh, and when the shareholders do receive a larger profit because these clowns' latest idea paid off - owning their own Rx manufacturing branch by buying out a little bitty pharma startup to make this Adderall XR fake and other drugs with less/ineffective/cheaper (and probably from CHINA) active ingredient so it's cheaper to make, then the CEOs get a multi million dollar BONUS on top of that fat salary. THAT'S why your new pharmacy manufacturer's Adderall XR doesn't work.

Next, they'll deny it as long as they can, which could be years, or even decades because nobody takes us seriously anyway and no lawyers will take it on because there's not enough profit in it for THEM. During that time they'll rake in as much profit as they possibly can until somebody files enough complaints or hopefully a legal case, assuming anyone cares enough. Just enough to raise an inquiry. It won't even make the news like FenPhen or the arthritis drugs because nobody is dying, so the worst for them will be a fine of likely less than $500,000 which is less than one day's profit out of 10-20 years of making billions on people who are paying for this fake trash and getting NO relief for a serious and very real medical condition. The insurance company has raked in billions, paid a minimal fine, AND continues business as usual, making more profits for their shareholders and more misery and suffering for the patients. The lawyers get a fat chunk of cash for brokering the lower fine and every member of the legal case - the patients who were harmed - each receive a check for $1.62, if anything at all. The 3 lead plaintiffs do get more, but certainly not much more than $100 each.

I know this because before I became disabled I was an attorney with a big law firm that represented all these big shese slime bag insurers, and I know the sleazy tactics and strategies they use. I can still see the sneering, contemptuous smirks in meetings where the partners would cook up this stuff, laughing at their cleverness in coming up fooling with ways for their the clients to rip off the rubes, slapping each other on the back in congratulations for coming up with such an easy way to squeeze even more out of the stupid patients who "don't even know the difference anyway," - and by the way, they have a "ranking" system for the insurance company's patients too when they discuss them. All of us are lower lifeforms of course, but anyone who's on Medicare, Medicaid, or a lower tier employer plan, well, "those people" are just lucky to be getting anything at all. We're lucky, in fact, that we're allowed to live. We're subhuman, about equal to rodents or cockroaches in their estimation, pests, really. But as long as they can make even a dollar off of us we're a necessary evil so they'll just have to tolerate our existence on the planet. But they're NOT interested in your health, much less your satisfaction with either your insurance or your drugs; you do not deserve any of the things humans enjoy - hey, we wouldn't even know enough to appreciate stuff like good food, music, a comfortable, safe place to live, quality medical care - or quality anything - and certainly not happiness. Why, we're only barely s r lf aware in their minds, like "dumb animals." I am, sadly, serious. This is exactly what the upper earners think of all of us. Yes, even me, and I was one of them - a member of the firm, that is; they never really accepted me into the fold because I'd made it on smarts, moxy, good grades, and hard work instead of inheriting.

In any event, THIS is why for-profit insurance has NO place in health care. Healthcare is about SICK PEOPLE, not "consumers." I am so sick of being told to shop around for the cheapest price on my HEART TRANSPLANT (just an example of the idiocy of the whole thing) and being referred to as a "health care CONSUMER" I am NOT! I'm a sick person who needs medical treatment, I'm not shopping for peaches!!! The US is the ONLY developed country on the planet that doesn't have health care as a benefit of being a member of society. Even third world countries like Belize have single payer health care, GOOD health care, free for everyone. Health, LIFE is a RIGHT, not something you only get if you can afford to pay "what the market will besr." It's been this way since humans began living in caves; all the so-called "primitive" peoples had doctors, medicine men/women, remefies, and NOBODY had to pay anybody for it. France, Germany, Belgium, look at history; all instituted health care for their citizens way back as far as the 17th century. This is also the ONLY country that instead make it a profit industry. Sorry if I've bored everyone but I've spent years studying on this and those of us who know the truth have a responsibility to speak out. Do not believe the false information being fed to you by - who else - big corporations - telling you how badly these other countries' health care systems work, long waits, rationing, substandard care - that is a bunch of misinformation designed to keep you from believing the truth when you hear it and demanding your human rights. I've lived in several other countries, including England, Canada, Germany, and France among others (like Costa Rica and Belize) and I have nothing but praise for all of their health care. And I wasn't even a citizen! You get sick, you go to the doctor; need a prescription you receive it - the drug your doctor prescribed, not something else some bean counter found cheaper.

Yes I'm angry, because I too got this Actavis garbage that does about as much good for my narcolepsy as a couple of Skittles. It DOES NOT WORK, it's NOT even the same active ingredient as Adderall - check the FDA's website AND the Actavis website, they both state this clearly. Tell your doctor you won't take it, report that it doesn't work to the FDA.

The Actavis round peach 30mg generic Adderall needs to be recalled, it made me physically ill and did nothing to help my ADD, in fact it made it worse. I had only taken the Sandoz brand for 2 years, the same dose: 15 mg in the morning and 15 mg in the afternoon with no adverse effects. My pharmacy changed the manufacturer they use to Actavis; I thought nothing of it because the listed 'ingredients' are exactly the same as on the Sandoz bottle, so I accepted the meds they gave me. I don't know how they can say this is the same medication because it isn't and I really wonder what I took.

The adverse effects for me were: severe headache, blurred vision, lethargy, extremely tense/rigid muscles, inability to think clearly, insomnia (on top of lethargy, go figure!), breaking out, and GI tract issues: this was after taking 30mg a day for only 4 days. On the 5th day I started feeling so depressed (which has never been a problem for me) that I realized I had to stop taking them and call my Dr. It seems a lot of people are having problems with the Actavis brand of 'generic' Adderall, the pharmacist told me to report it to the FDA.

I've never posted on this site before but I feel it's necessary to get the word out about this 'drug'. I feel like I took poison for 4 days and I'd like to make sure others don't go through what I did. Started the blue pills, Adderall XR 20mg Actavis Elezibeth 4 days ago. From that day every day has gotten progressively worse for me. Now I'm greatly suffering from depression and extremely sensitive to bright lights. I can't even stand looking at my phone while on this poison. Emailed my doctor begging if I bring him the bottle to please hook me up with the brand Adderall IR until my insurance will pay for the Adderall XR brand. STAY FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THE BLUE PILLS MADE BY ACTAVIS ELIZABETH. Please do yourself a huge favor and listen to us who are going through complete hell.

I am experiencing the exact same issue. No pharmacies in my area have the old manufacturer and I refuse to take anymore of this poison. !!! IT IS AWFUL.
