Is the round pink 30 mg Adderall generic name Sandoz/Eon with the markings of CDR 136 on one side more or less effective than the oval orange 30 mg Adderall generic name Barr/Teva with the markings of b974 on one side and 30 on the other side? What is the most effective/potent Adderall that is generic and 30 mg?

I take 30mg IR twice daily. I have tried generic Adderall from Actavis, Teva/Barr, Aurobindo, Sandoz and this month Corepharma/Impax.

Purposely, I changed every month, so I would know for myself and not have to rely on the opinions of others as my generic Adderall guidance. It worked very well for me. Actavis, Corepharma, Sandoz, Aurobindo, then Teva/Barr were top to bottom for me. All for different reasons, but this thought is extremely important to take with you as change from month to month.

Do not give up on a particular manufacturer's Adderall if it does not give you your desired effect. Why? I learned through trial & error and dosage tweaking ( as little as 2.5mg lower with Core and a full 10 mg more with Sandoz to achieve my desired Adderall effect.

Another tip: Make some calls, stop by some pharmacies and find out which generic they currently have on hand. YOU are in charge of this transaction. You are NOT at the mercy of whatever the pharmacist hands you in the bag.
However...
There are certain ways to ask this question and in person is always better than over the phone. Don't come across as demanding or argumentative when that pharmacist tells you "look...they're all the same" or "they all have the same active ingredient." I won't bore you with talk of "bioavailability", but that claim, in my experience, is absolutely false.

Look in your bag and count the pills before you leave the store. Mistakes are made more often than you would think.

Conclusion: try as many different generic Adderalls as you possibly can.
Pay attention to your dosage and don't be afraid to up it or down it a few mgs. Even if it's different than the prescribed dose by your doctor.

Have you thought why exactly it is that you are taking Adderall?
With all due respect, after reading your post, it's painfully obvious you're a bit in the dark about Adderall and taking it.

Not trying to insult you at all, but I tell you, based on my personal experience of taking generic Adderall IR for 12/13 months...the more I found out about the details of each generic manufacturer
( colors, shape, numberings on tablet )
I noticed a significant positive change in what the Adderall was giving me.

I figured out through trial & error, a pretty accurate expectation of what each generic at each dose would do for me.
Helped me in so many ways. Saved me a few bucks, but more importantly, this newly acquired generic Adderall information made me feel confident and gave me a sense of "I got a good handle on this and I can manage this an let the medication do it's thing.

Worked for me. My problem solving skills & concentration improved and procrastination and laziness faded.
It'll make you feel like a total ass -kicker once you get on top of it. Super confident.

Why do you want the most "potent" generic adderall? You have a death or unhealthy life wish ahead of you?

Lol I doubt not being potent enough is an actual side effect, unless it's perhaps from taking the drug for too long and not taking regular scheduled days off from it

I agree with you. I think Sandoz is one of the best generics out there.
A few months ago, it was everywhere in my city...now...nobody carries it and multiple pharmacists in my city have to told me that their distributors no longer offer it.
Very similar to Actavis. My first 2 months I got Actavis from Costco. I had no idea what to expect or what was about to happen to me. That 60 days was as close to self actualization as I have ever been. I felt perfect. Not high, not wired, just....right.

On day 61, Costco gave me what I now know to be Sandoz. I took a tab at the store and an hour later, I drove back to Costco, ready to give that pharmacist a piece of my mind for obviously giving me the wrong medication!
That's how F'ing bad Sandoz was!!

My shrink wouldn't return emails or calls and I had no idea what the hell was going on.

Out of pure desperation, I decided the next day to lower it 5mg in the AM and up it 5mg in the PM.

The AM was same as the previous day. Literally nothing. Not even some edginess or irritability...but the PM...now this was much different. Not as good as Actavis, but a hell of a lot better than the last 3 days. The next day I found my ideal dose of Sandoz's version of Adderall and I have used that method to sacrifice 1 or 2 days a month, rather than 30.

Is there a worse feeling than counting days until your next fill?
No, there isn't.

So...my lesson learnedwas this...and I truly believe in and practice this: The dosage the doc decides to put you on is not permanent or even guaranteed to work at all. But some responsible, fact backed experimentation on my part opened up an understanding for me of exactly what I was dealing with in generic Adderall and how to manage it.

Massachusettes, walgreens has the teva brand (b973 20), rite aid has the corepharma (pink tablets cor 135 meaning 20mg and cor 136 meaning 30mg), and cvs has mylan (orange tablets printed with AD 20). If we go back 4 months ago, the best generic adderall was teva which is offered by walgreens (luckily I still have few left from that time they worked great). However as of november 17, 2016 the best generic adderall is the pink tablets manufactured by corepharma and is found in rite aid pharmacy. Do not buy teva or mylan!!! You will get screwed and have to wait for another month to get the prescription... Even if you tell your doctor that they don't work he wont give you another prescription and will tell you to wait another month! The teva footballs (b973 20) now are nothing compared to the same ones that were offered in walgreens 4 months ago. Hope this helps!

Ps: The teva tablets issued 4 months ago are better than the corepharma pink tablets now.

FYI- for the hair loss issue be sure to get a complete Iron panel
blood test including your ferritin level. Search 'hair loss and ferritin level'.
There are many articles that say 'low' ferritin levels might be
causing hair loss.

@Kirk. Don't give up hope. Ever. I know how hard life is sometimes, but giving into despair always makes it worse. It's tough, but try and keep a positive attitude. Drink lots if water and eat healthy. Hang in there.

Fyi clorazopam will definitely negate the affectedness of your Adderall following day, as well as the samurai reuptake of numbers (Prozac), but I haven't found the latter had as much of an effect. In my experience and without exception, the former essentially renders completely moot on those days I take in Clorazopam The prior evening. In case this may change the calculus for some of you, I will note that I had been taking Cloraz for insomnia at a 'dosage I do not exactly remember but believe to have been somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 mg (1xd before bed) A number of other people I've spoken with have also noticed the same thing. My understanding is, while they are out there, there are not a ton of very effective antidepressant/anxiety Meds that do not tend t negate the effects of Adderall to at least some extentnot at least to some extent. It is my understanding based upon my own independent research speaking with couple doctors, this generally holds true for any med prescribed/dosed for the treatment of anxiety/depression.

That being said, if anyone has found a particular Med/Class of med that is effective in treating Depressant/Anxiety but does not seem to have any negative impact on the effectiveness of their Adderall ( based on their experience, or at least insurances of their doc)
Please let me know. Thanks

Does anyone know about the effectiveness of the Corepharma 10mg IR available as of December 2016? I was previously on Teva 10mg IR with my last prescription filled at CVS in early November 2016 which worked great for me. Prior to Teva, I used Mylan 10mg which was not effective at all and made me very anxious feeling.

I just dropped off a prescription 2 weeks ago at CVS. I requested that they special order Teva but they filled it with Mylan which I refused on pick up. I am now waiting for the past week to hear back from CVS about whether they were able to fill the Teva request but no updates....

I am thinking of either asking CVS to order Corepharma istead or asking for my prescription so that I can take it somewhere else to get filled. So any feedback on the current Corepharma 10mg IR would be helpful!

Thanks.

I too use CVS to fill my scrips, when they first switched to Mylan I noticed right away it wasn't working right. They won't order a special brand for me, so I was stuck using the Mylan version for a few months until one month when I picked up my script and brought it home and the pills were bright pink. I had previously read bad things about the corepharma brand so I was a little apprehensive about trying them but I can tell you now that it is far superior to the Mylan version. I actually seek out the corepharma version now when I'm trying to fill my script, it's very annoying driving around to so many CVSs just to find out if they have adderall in stock and what manufacturer they are carrying if they do but it's worth it. If you have the option I'd recommend trying the corepharma version.

My CVS pharmacist has been ordering the Teva generic for me. That's what CVS had carried for years and I find it to be much more effective than the Mylan. I do have to ask specifically, each time I get my prescription filled, for the Teva brand. That's unfortunate that you have to drive around from CVS to CVS. If you speak with the pharmacists at each of those stores you may find one who is willing to order it for you each month.

I also stumbled into CorePharma. Like you, all the information I heard was really negative.

And this is my third consecutive month with CorePharma 30mg IR and they are, in my opinion, the best generic Adderall on the market January 2017.

Few side effects, great pep & motivation, improves problem solving skills.

I have seen this pattern develop the past 6-12 months. One of the generic manufacturers (Teva/Barr, Actavis, Sandoz, Aurobindo, CorePharma will rise to the top for a stretch of time.

Everybody is talking about how great it works (Like CorePharma 1/17) and all the others are garbabe or placebos.

I've seen all off them be on top for a minute.

My experience: They all work when the correct dosage is found.

Thanks for posting something positive. My search has resulted in lots of negative over the last three years. There are DEFINITELY differences between all generics which has been confirmed to me by two providers. Prior to that, I was unaware. Nevertheless, I too, have been taking the Teva generic for years and it is great. I noticed the change when I picked up my scrip and before I pull the fire alarm with my doctor; I appreciate this recent information. Everyone is different and reactions will vary. Thanks again

Thank you everyone for your replies.

I was able to have my doctor write a new script for brand name and filled it at a mom-and-pop pharmacy chain next to my house.

I think I am done with CVS. They had previously ordered Teva brand for me no problems. This last time I dropped off my script like usual, got a notification one week later that it was filled, went to pick up and out of habit opened right at the counter before paying to verify only to see it was Mylan. I spoke to the Pharmacist who tried to argue with me that they couldn't accept the return because it "left the pharmacy" but eventually took it when I told them they can pull their security cameras to see it was opened right there and never left. So note to others...always verify your prescription right at the counter before you step away. Then they told me they would reorder Teva which I later found out was unsuccessful after 1 week. In summary this back and forth caused me to lose one months prescription because I didn't get to fill until 12/30 which means I can't fill until 1/30 now...

Just for anyone who is curious about Teva vs. Brand Name:

For me I could feel when Teva kicked in 30 mins or so after taking it because I would notice a "buzz" going through my system. I was almost hyper focused at times where if someone tried to speak to me it was hard to pull me away from my task. Appetite was slightly depressed but not as much as Brand Name. Moderate to high levels of coldness was experienced. Slight hits of anxiety here and there. And although I would feel it wear off eventually after my last dose I had trouble sleeping at night.

I did not feel when Brand name kicked in or wore off and I did not experience any insomnia. I actually felt myself get tired later in the day like i normally do unmedicated. I take my pills at 9am and 12pm. I experienced high levels of coldness. My focus intensity was not as intense but just as productive/effective meaning if ppl tried to talk to me or distract me from a task it was easier to get my attention. On Brand Name I had to force myself to eat or would forget constantly.

Just for reference - On Mylan, I felt when it kicked in and it only lasted 1-2 hours before I would become tired, easily distracted, and restless. I was very anxious and irritable and edgy. I also experienced insomnia. I think you have to test and try to see what works best for you. But there is definitely a difference in the various manufacturers.

I have been taking the pink round 20 mg three times daily. At first they worked wonderfully for me but it seems that my body is not metabolizing them the same way anymore. I'm not sure what brand they are and there is no marking on one side, on the other it is scored into four sections. I get these at Kroger and was wondering if anyone had a definite brand that they suggest from any pharmacy, does not matter which one.

I usually take the Teva generics (orange footballs), which I have found to be regularly stocked at Walmart. I tried the round pink ones one month because my local CVS switched to those and they didn't seem to work for me at all.
