I have used terramicina cream in the past for lip blisters, and found it to be really soothing and quickly healed with this treatment. Recently I tried to buy a fresh tube, and the pharmacy said I would be better using another product for cold sores. I did, and it did not work. When I say lip blisters, they are really painful and multiply very fast, and the terramicina cream is very soothing. Is it safe to use for this purpose? ## Hello, Maureen! How are you? Is it safe to use, technically yes, as long as your doctor approves. It is an antibiotic ointment, so it may be soothing to use on cold sores. However, you do have to be cautious about overusing any antibiotic products. However, it is not going to shorten their duration or prevent future outbreaks. If you consult your doctor, they ...

I have a lot of tension and developed cold sore a stiff neck and swollen glands under my jaw. Would Anaerobyl 400 work for this? ## Hello, Heidi! How are you? No, it will not. A cold sore and its accompanying symptoms are caused by a herpes simplex virus, so to lessen its duration or prevent future outbreaks, you need an antiviral medication, such as Acyclovir. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache and stomach pain. If you are under a lot of stress and tension, you may want to take it regularly to prevent future outbreaks. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Thank you, I took colloidal silver worked wonderful, it even cleared up my cold! Also used a balm I made containing silver 3days it was gone!

my daughter contract vaginal herpes, she tried this cream Gelmicin and says it works great is it safe to use and if so where can i get more than u ## Hello, Vanessa! How are you and your daughter? No, she shouldn't use Gelmicin to try to treat herpes. One of it's ingredients in a steroid, Betamethasone and steroids can actually wake up the virus and cause, or worsen breakouts, as reported by the U.S. FDA. To treat or prevent herpes outbreaks, she needs an antiviral medication. Her doctor can prescribe one for her in either a topical cream or to be taken orally. Their typical side effects are nausea, headache and stomach pain. Is there anything else I can help with?

m122 directions

How often is m122 usually taken? Once a day? 3 times a day?? ## This tablet is manufactured by Mylan Pharmaceuticals and they list it as containing 500mgs of Valacyclovir, which is used to treat or prevent recurring vaginal herpes outbreaks. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, stomach pain and diarrhea. You should follow your doctor's dosing instructions, but usually, for prevention of outbreaks, it is dosed as 1gram, which would be 2 of these tablets, once daily. Unless you have less than 9 recurrences yearly, then it's just one tablet, once a day. If you can post back with what condition is being treated, I can provide you with more details. Can you please clarify? ## Cold sore treatment. Usually one occurance a year.

I have serious shoulder pain since my 2 shoulder surgeries and I have a physically demanding job which makes it worse. Does anyone know who in the central PA area (HARRISBURG, MECHANICSBURG ETC) that will prescribe the 15 or 30mg oxytocin (Percocet)? I have such a high tolerance to the weaker Percocet and those doses ate the only ones that takes my pain away. I would appreciate any and all feedback! !!! Thanks ## Hello, Shawn! How are you? The maximum dose of Percocet that is currently available contains 10mgs of Oxycodone and 325mgs of Acetaminophen. Anything that contains higher doses of Oxycodone would not be called Percocet, because it doesn't contain the Acetaminophen. If you're referring to Oxycontin, then that would be a time released formulation of straight Oxycodone, by...

Valacyclovir with Ibuprofen
8 Replies RSS
I've been searching everywhere for an answer to this, but does anybody know if it is okay to take Advil with Valacyclovir? My wife's gotten a headache (a reported side effect) and is really wanting to take a pain medication. I have read that individuals should check with their doctor before taking Valacyclovir if they are taking NSAIDs such as Ibuprofen or Acetaminophen, but I can't seem to find a definite answer if one Advil will be harmful. ## Ibuprofen is not specifically listed as a drug which interacts with Valacyclovir (meaning it is not implicitly described as dangerous to take together with it, whereas other drugs have been mentioned). This does not mean that you shouldn't double check with your doctor or pharmacist, but she should be good to take an Advil, as lo...
