This morning was just so frustrated never have headaches, do got on Internet and discovered could be xeralto. It is the only difference in meds. And other thing weird body order. Was on coumodin since Oct 2015. Personal doctor switched me from coumodin to Xeralto three weeks ago. Since then, I have had to go to ER two times to have my left knee drained. Am away from residence for two months so I have been seeing the orthopedist who is treating me. Had sonogram and MRI done last week. No clots or tears in the knee. Has anyone else experienced this problem? ## Hello, Lynda! How are you? As reported by the FDA, this medication has been known to cause peripheral edema, though it isn't common for it to just be in one area, usually it would be both legs. Last night I tripped over a leather footstool and took a good fall. I'm on 20 mg of Xeralto for DVT & PE. This afternoon I started getting dizzy. Not terribly, but still a little worrisome. What should I do? ## It would be best to have it checked out buy your doctor, or someone at the ER/Urgent Care. There is a risk that you have suffered a concussion, or are experience bleeding, which could be risky, according FDA reports. How are you feeling, now? Has there been any change? Are you on any other medications?
