Why Is My Fluoxetine Capsules Dark Green
2 Topics FoundI've been taking a generic green & white capsule of 20 mg Prozac (fluoxetine) for a few years. My pharmacy gave me blue capsules mfg by alembic this time & I am feeling so sick for 4 days now. I thought I had a stomach bug, but I've never had a bug linger this long. I had diarrhea & vomiting on day 2 & 3, jittery sleep, then deep bouts of sleep, bad headache, night sweats & nightmares. ## Ditto! I almost puked this am, and have been sick all day. Had major side effects after my pharmacy switched me to blue caps. Was taking Sandoz white and green for years with no problem. Light green with E88 imprint. other side is a darker green. This pill is shaped rectangle. Nothing special with shape. Just a normal rectangle shaped pill. ## Is this pill a capsule or a tablet? I found a (single-toned) light green capsule imprinted with E88 to be identified as Fluoxetine hydrochloride 10 mg. Manufacturer: Aurobindo Pharma National Drug Code (NDC): 65862-0192 I suppose capsules can be considered "rectangular in shape", but I also wanted to clarify that with you in case there's something that doesn't match up. Fluoxetine is approved for the treatment of major depression (including pediatric depression), obsessive-compulsive disorder (in both adult and pediatric populations), bulimia nervosa, panic disorder and premenstrual dysphoric disorder.
