you note that generic meds can be marked same as proprietery "other" mess. how to be sure what I have? ## Hello, Dr. Dre! How are you? I think you're misunderstanding, so I'll try to clear this up for you. All prescription medications are marked, but the markings have to be unique to each manufacturer, each medication and each dosage of that medication. For instance, a round white tablet with A 101 on one side in black print, with nothing on the other is listed as being a 150mg Budeprion XL tablet, which is a time released formulation of Bupropion. Now, there are other companies that also make a 150mg time released dosage, but they cannot use the same imprint, they have to use a different one. This is done to help make sure that the medications can be identified and trac...

I just need to identify what pill this is. ## A white oval tablet with A10 on one side and APO on the other side is most likely Atorvastatin Calcium 10mg (NDC 60429-323). It is a generic for Lipitor and is part of the "statin" drugs for lowering cholesterol. Below is an image: Now, I said "most likely", because there is another drug with a different NDC code which is coming up as having the same imprint codes. That tablet is Alendronic Acid 10mg (NDC 60505-2593), which is an osteoporosis drug. Sorry but I don't have a picture for this one. The way you could tell WHICH one it is would be to measure the tablet. If it is 9mm wide then it's the first one. If it's a bit smaller at 6mm then it's the second one. I hope this info helps! A small white round tablet inscribed with A 102, is this Wellbutrin? ## I can't find anything listed under this, can you please double check the imprint? ## I get bupropion xl 300mg tablets, and they say a 102 on them. It used to be an oval pill (light yellow, number 682) Don't worry it is the Generic. =) ## Thank you Alice for providing this information. Sometimes generics are released so fast, that it takes awhile for the professional prescription databases to keep up, so some things aren't always found listed right away when they are new on the market. ## it is A102, not 102, by the way. =) ## Thanks Alice, I did find it listed under the A 102, the professional database I use updates regularly and this one was just added. It is Bupropion 300mgs, a generic for Wellbutrin XL.

I recently was prescribed wellbutrin and received little white pills labeled a102. Well last month insurance didn't cover them when I went to pay for my meds the pharmacist changed the pill to make it cheaper. I hate these ones and my insurance is back but they won't give me the other pills. How do I get them back or what would I specifically say to another pharmacy to make sure I get the ones I started with? ## You have to ask your psychiatrist or prescriber to specify the brand of generic you want. It is honestly best to just call the pharmacy and ask if they have that specific generic in stock and if they will special order the generic for you. Then ask your insurance if they will cover it. My best advice is to monitor the brand of generic you're on and how it affects you...

This is the first time Costco mail order pharmacy has sent me these pills, the previous ones I have been taking for five years were also a generic but I do not remember their color but think they were two colors, one color was white and I believe the other was green. Ever since I started taking the blue pills, my FBSS pains in my legs have greatly increased. I took the fluoxetine primarily for relief from these pains, along with 150 mg Lyrica, 2mg clonoxepam, 50mg prestiq, 25mg amitriptyline, and 50mg lamotrigine daily. Is it possible that these new blue pills, which I understand are made in India by Alembic, are sufficiently different than the previous generic Fluoxetine to cause this increase in pain. Please help, the pain has been terrible since making this change. Thank you. ## The ...
