So in your comparison, both drugs contain the same active ingredients, just in different doses. Hydrocodone Acetaminophen 10 325 is a generic for Norco containing Hydrocodone 10mg and Acetaminophen 325mg. Vicodin 500 contains Hydrocodone 5mg and Acetaminophen 500mg. So the generic Norco which you have contains twice as much Hydrocodone (the opioid ingredient) but less Acetaminophen than the Vicodin. Norco contains exactly the SAME ingredients that Vicodin does!! Please note the V on the pill DOES NOT stand for Vicodin. It stands for the pharmaceutical company: Vintage Qualitest. The pill marked V 3596 contains Acetaminophen 750mgs and Hydrocodone 7.5mgs. Exactly the same as active ingredients as the Norco did. The only difference is who manufactures them and possibly the dosage, if your doctor changed it.
