You should take this medication by mouth with or without food, just follow whatever instructions your doctor has provided. My new doctor (I moved) is taking me off hydroxyzine pam 50 . She said it is not good for people over 65, I am 67. I itch and that was why my doctor where I lived put me on it 3 years ago.
