i felt light headed, my balance while walking slowing was affected causing me to sway a bit to left and right. I took 14 pills as directed by my doctor. 2 pills every day after eating some food. I was bound up, not having a bowel movement for 5 days. When I notice the effect that the pill was having on my body, I stopped taking the pill. I had used 14 pills in a prescription of 20. From what I've read, constipation is in fact listed as a side effect. I don't have insurance. And wondering how much would cost for a 30 day prescription ## Hello, Luke! How are you? This tablet contains 500mgs of Naproxen, which is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory that's used to treat pain, fever and swelling. Side effects may include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. I can't quote you a price from any particular pharmacy, since it can vary depending on your location and from pharmacy to pharmacy, but this is a generic and it's usually quite inexpensive. Some pharmacies even have it on their $4 list. Is there anything else I can help with?

oval, pink, number 149 on one side & 93 on the other ## need to know what this pill is for? ## This is 500 mg of Naproxen manufactured by Teva Pharmaceuticals. It is an anti-inflammatory and pain killer. ## Need to know what this pill is prescribed for and how it compares to vicodin or percocet. ## Al, although it is used as a pain reliever it is not like Vicodin or Percocet. Unlike those two medications Naproxen is not a narcotic (opiate) and is technically not subject to physical addiction over time.

I have Eosinaphilic Gastroenteritis and started slow on Medrol due to past experience with high dose Prednisone causing high blood pressure. After taking 4mg Medrol my BP was 149/99 within 12 hours. I am 33 very fit and work out regularly, I have no other health issues. Why would steroids cause such a drastic spike in BP? There aren't a lot of treatment options for my condition so I'm trying to figure out why this is happening. ## Hello, Mike! How are you? It's just due to the nature of how they work in the body, all steroids/hormones can cause blood pressure elevation. I've actually found that I had the least amount of issues with Prednisone, myself. However, 149/99 isn't really a drastic spike, that's only about mid-range. Have you consulted your doctor? You ma...

Are these used in dealing with pain from a toothache? ## From what I could gather, Teva 149 is identified as Naproxen (500 mg). This medication probably wont aid in curing a tooth infection, but I believe it should help alleviate any pain that may be associated with it. You can learn more about this drug on the page for Naproxen Details By the way, I've also had success using pure vanilla extract as well as clove essential oil, as alternative options that create somewhat of a numbing effect as well as exhibiting powerful antibacterial properties. What sort of dosing regimen are you following to get the relief you need?

The pill is white, oval shaped, kind of fat and there are no other imprints on it. Just 149 in blue. ## Hello Suzi, When you say oval shaped is it an oval or a capsule shaped pill? I ask because you say the 149 is in blue which leads me to believe that the pill is actually a capsule with blue writing. I would need this information so that I can get a solid match for your pill, so far all I've been able to find is a blue circular tablet with 149 imprinted in it and I doubt that is what you're describing. Just let me know.

I have a bad pain in my hips and wanted to know if 2 Naproxen 500 MG would be too much to take...I'm hurting pretty badly. ## Hello, Terri! How are you? It would be best not to double up, unless your doctor approaches. Naproxen is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory and taking too much of it, as listed in the FDA warnings, risks severe stomach and/or liver damage. Especially if taken for long periods of time. Its typical side effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, increased risk of bleeding and stomach irritation. Is there anything else I can help with?
