I was put on the 6 day methylprednisolone pack because of a back injury. I just took my first two tablets this morning. After I took them, I read its bad to take with high blood pressure. I have high blood pressure and take lisinopril for this but it doesn't always control it. Would I be okay just not to take any more of the pills? I only took the two, that's all. I would rather not take this medication after hearing all the side effects. ## Hello, Amy! How are you? How high is your blood pressure? There are cases where it may still be appropriate to take this medication, generally the doctor needs to evaluate whether or not the benefits outweigh the possible risks. The FDA lists its other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, acne and edema. Ho... ...

Methotrexate side effects

I have been on Methotrexate and folic acid for 3 weeks. Started with three 2.5 mg tablets of MTX for two weeks, then up to 6 tablets this week. The first week, I had terrible stomach pains, the second week I had bad fatigue. After taking my 6 pills on Friday, the side effects have been bad: nausea, no vomiting, diarrhea, stomach pain, back and right side pain and a rash. I finally reached the doctor on call in my practice (Memorial Day), and his comment was that it didn't look like I could take 6. My question is this, if you have switched to the injectable MTX, did you have less side effects, and at what point in your treatment did you switch? ## Hi my son started taking the injection 3 weeks ago he have had some stomach pain but no nausea. Is this harmful to mix together? The street drug meth and oxycodone? If so what do the two together do to a person. Also is it in the barbituate family? ## Hello, Em! How are you? No, neither is a barbiturate. Oxycodone is a narcotic analgesic and Methamphetamine is a stimulant, so it would basically be combining two opposites, which can be very dangerous in the human body. Sometimes, it can cause your body to have a bad reaction and go into a type of shock, because it can't handle being told to do both things, at once. Learn more Oxycodone details here. Will 10 mg methadone work to relieve bad toothache pain? ## Hello, Eddie! How are you? It is an opiate analgesic, so it can alleviate pain just like the other opiates that are available. The FDA classifies this as a narcotic analgesic, so it has the potential to be habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth and constipation. However, you shouldn't take it, unless your doctor has prescribed it for you, due to the danger of overdose if you aren't opiate tolerant and it's great addictive potential. Snorting a medication like Oxycodone not only causes you to ingest ALL of the dosage at once, much faster than intended, but you are also inhaling fillers from the tablets that ARE NOT meant to be kept in the human body, they are meant to be harmlessy expelled in your natural waste. Need Help with Lingering Side Effects of Prednisone

I am a 30 year old female and in the beginning of March 2013 I got terribly sick with some sort of cold paired with a severe sinus infection. I was prescribed Methylprednisolone 4mg dose pack. I completed that with only minor side effects however it didn't really work and I was back at the doctor a mere week later feeling just as bad. I was then prescribed Prednisone 20mg tablets, taking 3 daily for 5 days. It helped my symptoms and I felt better. However, my last dose was Sunday 3/17/2013 and today is Wednesday 3/20/2013 and I am feeling incredibly strange. I feel weak, tired, irritable, depressed, dizzy and light-headed at times, off balance and I am getting mild headaches. I'm also moody and have a short temper.
