Has anyone found Visine L.R. or (Oxymetazoline HCI Eye Drops) which is the active ingredient in VIsine L.R. which makes it work SO well. PLEASE let me know when someone either has found the product, it's equivalent or heard from Visine.com about whether or not they will continue to sell this product. ## Hello, Sandy! How are you? I'm very sorry about the problem that you're having. From what I've found, it has been discontinued and there is no news on them bringing it back. At this time, it is listed as only being used in nasal sprays. Have you consulted your doctor? They may know of an alternative that works well. Has anyone else found anything that works as well? ## Please any info on Visine LR would be appreciated. Their is no other one that can help my husband. ## Bu...

Can I use durezol and visine? The durezol is burning my eyes ## The burning can be a normal side effect of Durezol, as listed by the FDA. You may also experience blurred vision, watery eyes and mild headache. However, I'd not recommend mixing it with the Visine, unless your doctor approves, since it could affect how much of the Durezol you absorb. Is there anything else I can help with?

I used Visine LR for over 20 years. Since its discontinuation, I've researched many eye drops and their ingredients. The only one that works amazingly, is Opcon-A! The oxymetazoline is absent but nephazoline is just as effective. My eyes are not red and lasts long periods. Thank goodness because I thought I would never find an alternative. ## I agree with Inna. I buy the Opcon-A from Amazon as an alternative to Visine LR. You get two bottles for under $9.00 and it works similar to Visine LR. ## @Inna, I appreciate the heads up on the replacement for Visine LR. There's a actually pretty popular discussion thread here on the topic of Visine LR with many people from around the world searching for an alternative. I think if you were to repost this over there as well, a lot of them w...

I have been using vigamox 3 times a day, my eyes get dry and a little irritated between doses just wanted to know if I could use visine LR in between the vigamox to help with the dryness and irritation? ## Yes you can use both of these eye drops together. Based on my research there are no drug interactions found between the ingredients in Visine L.R. and Vigamox. This does not necessarily mean no interactions exist, but my sources state that every effort has been made to ensure that the information provided is accurate. You can view more details about these medications by visiting the links below: I hope this helps!

Been searching for Visine LR and cannot find it anywhere. HELP! Where can I find it? ## I found some on MedShopExpress but I heard this was not a reliable website. I placed an order for 2 but i am not optimistic that I will actually receive them. Good luck ## I still can't find Visine LR. I've checked all on-line options and my local stores in Northern California. I'd appreciate any tips. I'm very dependent on this product. It's all that helps me anymore. ## I was able to get an equivalent to these eye drops made at a compounding pharmacy. I went to Compounded Solutions in Pharmacy. Their phone number is 203-268-4964. Hope this helps!! ## From what I can discover, it seems it has been discontinued, however, on their website, they list the active ingredient as being O...

Are there other eye drops that use the same ingredients that Visine LR does? ## I just listed this in another post, the active ingredient Oxymetazoline can also be found in Claritin Allergy Relief Eye Drops and in Ocuclear. Do you have any other questions? ## Claritin ophthalmic solution contains as the active ingredient ketotifen ## I noticed that there are other allergy products on the market which contain the same key ingredient as Visine LR called Oxymetazoline. The only thing is that they come as a nasal spray and the proportion of Oxymetazoline is a higher dose. Here is an example: Visine LR contained Oxymetazoline HCl 0.025% as the active ingredient along with Benzalkonium Chloride, Boric Acid, Edetate Disodium, Purified Water, Sodium Borate, and Sodium Chloride as the inactive i...

Opcon A eye drops work well for a short time. I haven't found any eye drops to replace Visine L.R. that have the lasting effects. Help! ## Hi Jerry - you might want to check out another discussion on this since it already has a lot of people posting in it: Visine LR Discontinued (Newest posts first). Hope this helps! ## If you only need them occasionally, use what I use —although it's Rx Only (in practice, a local doc visits a local pharmacy and we buy it OTC or if we have Rx coverage, bring a script) —TOBRADEX (generic available: TOBRAMYCIN and DEXAMETHASONE. Not for daily use. Very effective and the generic is expensive; I use my RX coverage to pay for 3 x 5mL and noted that the retail would be close to $300, ad that;s for the Sandoz generic. Im not an ophthalmolog...

replacement for Visine LR ## PLEASE IF THERE IS A REPLACEMENT FOR VLR, LET US KNOW ALL THE DETAILS OF THE EYE DROPS ASAP!!!! ## From what I can discover, it seems it has been discontinued, however, on their website, they list the active ingredient as being Oxymetazoline. Ironically, it is not used in any of their other products. I am not finding a lot of over the counter products that contain it, however, Claritin Eye Allergy Relief Drops have it and so does Ocuclear. Is there anything else I can help with? ## Hey, I just found Visine LR at my local Walgreens today! Perhaps they've resumed production. ## Not all Walgreens carry the visine LR, which means that they are just selling what stock they have left. Not sure why visine stopped making this brand. I don't like anything els...

I think they are selling Visine LR on the internet, but it is very expensive. It is the only gtts that work for me. Have been searching for it for two months. Some of the blogs here have helped with suggestions. ## Hi Neil, Thanks for the heads up. I've also heard about some remaining stocks of Visine LR being available online, but are being sold for much more than most individuals are willing to pay. OcuClear was the best eye drops ever. Since it has gone off the market, I have been unable to find anything comparable. Visine does not do the trick at all. Is there an eye drop on the market today that even comes close to what OcuClear would do? Or can I still purchase OcuClear on the internet? ## OcuClear is manufacrured in Canada, Visine L.R. is the equivalent of OcuClear, and it's available in the US. They both share the same ingredient, which is Oxymetazoline. To learn more click about Oxymetazoline the link below... Do you have any more questions or information to add? Please post back if you do. ## I have tried Visine. It may have the same ingredient in it, but something is still different about Visine than OcuClear. I have a problem with red eyes, and OcuClear always cleared...

Hello. I’m Rick. I was wondering about an issue with my left eye drooping when I get up in the morning. Someone mentioned it could be an eye allergy so I bought Visine allergy drops and it helps for like 3 hours then it starts to droop again, then I put the drops in and it’s fixed again. Just wanted some opinions. Also, I forgot to mention my eyebrow moves upward towards my hair and when I use the drops it relaxes again. Thanks for any thoughts. ## Have you consulted your medical care provider? Do you have any diagnosed medical conditions? Do you take any medications on a regular basis? The FDA lists the typical optical issues from allergies as including eye redness, tearing, itching, and general irritation, but drooping it not a normal issue associated with them. How much s...
