Vamlo contains the active ingredient Amlodipine and yes, it can cause abdominal pain in some people that take it. Aplaket contains the active ingredient Ticlopidine, it's used to help prevent blood clotting, so it doesn't serve the same purpose as the Vamlo. Are you certain that's the one your doctor said to take? What are you taking it to treat? ## Doctor replaces vamlo with aplaket, stating that vamlo can cause abdominal pain. So I thought they serves the same purpose

Yes, Vamlo contains the active ingredient Amlodipine and it can cause stomach pain/abdominal pain in some people as a side effect. Aplaket contains the active ingredient Ticlopidine, this is actually used to help prevent blood clotting, so it isn't used to the same medical conditions as the Vamlo. May I know if Vamlo 5mg (which I can buy in my area) is a good replacement for Stamlo 5mg (which I cant get now)? Thanks much ## Yes, they contain the exact same active ingredient, which is Amlodipine, so even though it is sold under a different name, you would still be taking the same medication, just made by a different company.
