I have been taking gabapentin 300mg as an orange capsule. New script filled with small yellow and white capsule with APO on yellow and 113 on white. Is this also 300mg gabapentin? ## Yes, same drug, just manufactured by a different company. When a drug is available for generic production, it will be made by many different companies and since the way the medication looks is entirely up to the whit and whim of the manufacturer, they will all look different.

Is this medication ever administered in intravenous dosage forms? ## From what I've read, Gabapentin appears to be available in the following dosage forms: a capsule, a tablet, an extended-release (long-acting) tablet, and an oral solution (liquid) to take by mouth. IV methods are usually pertaining to those who recreationally abuse the medication. So I wouldn't necessarily recommend doing anything other than what your doctor or health-care provider suggests, in that regard. The dosing instructions also state that you should swallow the extended-release tablets whole; and not cut, chew, or crush them. Hello, Three years ago I suffered from Bell's Palsy on the left side of my face. Actually at that time I also suffered from an emotional setback. I recovered from the Bell's Palsy but since then I have felt pain on the left side of my face. After that the pain has spread to my whole body. I am taking Gabasafe plus (Pregabalin, mecbalain & alpha lipoic acid) capsuls fo the last 4 days for ear pain. Now I have got back-pain. Is it because of Gabasafe plus? ## It is doubtful that this would cause you to be in pain. However, it's also not actually an analgesic, so it isn't going to help with ear pain. The drug ingredient in this is Pregabalin, which is an anticonvulsant that's also been shown to help with some types of nerve pain and mood disorders, because of the way it acts on brain chemicals, but even for those uses, it takes about 4 to 6 weeks to reach its full effect in the body and start helping. Hi I have been on Gabapentin for a month. The highest dose I could tolerate is 900mg a day. The problem is the drug has had no effect on my pain. I have tried to go up in dosage to possible get some pain relief, but I am retaining fluid at higher doses and I have Congestive Heart Failure, so this is a no-no. So..... I've been taking Gabapentin 600mg tablets since 2009. My tabs have on them two different types of #s. P636 - This tablet is blue. The other is white with G31 600mg. Why the difference?
