I have cellulittes in left ancle and leg is cephalexin 500 mg what I need ## Hi Flonnie, Based on my research Cephalexin is actually regarded as one of the recommended drugs for treating Cellulitis in it's early stages. From what I could gather, the usual adult dose of Cephalexin (in the treatment of Cellulitis), is 500mgs orally every 6 hours, for up to 7-10 days. Depending on how severe each individual case is, other more powerful antibiotics may also be recommended, such as Vancomycin, Daptomycin, or Linezolid. I hope this helps to answer your question! ## cephalexin 500 mg is a green capsule with the number 219 on it. hope this helps

Used to treat MRSA ## To treat MRSA, Vancomycin or other antibiotics in the same class are used. Other options may include: Flucloxacillin, Erythromycin and Ciprofloxacin. I am not, however, finding any that start with an R. but it is possible that some doctors may use Rocephin, the active ingredient in Ceftriaxone, though it is not listed as being used to treat MRSA. Do you have any other information, such as antibiotic class or anything on the particular one or ones you are seeking information on? ## After taking a round of Cipro and Flagel, I have an imbalance of flora that is causing me diahrrea and stomach pain. I had this before some years ago and was prescribed something that Started with a V. can you suggest something, ## I was in the hospital and was given a IV therapy for 20 d...

what is this condition & how is it treated? ## Enterococci are facultative anaerobic organisms, i.e., they are capable of cellular respiration in both oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor environments. Infections caused by Enterococcus include urinary tract infections, bacteremia, bacterial endocarditis, diverticulitis, and meningitis. Sensitive strains of these bacteria can be treated with ampicillin and vancomycin. This bacteria has a high resistance to the common antibiotics as well as antimicrobial agents; so be sure to look into stronger medications if needed. Other than antibiotics, I would suggest a diet comprised of mostly fresh, raw, ripe, organic fruits and vegetables as they have properties that aid to fight off things of this nature as well as a host of other benefits that may in...
