I have been prescribed this medicine called Trapic (the composition is Tranexamic acid and Mefenamic acid) 3 times a day for 4 days to stop bleeding, as I've been having abnormal bleeding between periods for more than 12 days now. I have taken Trapic for 2 days now. However, I also took 2 tablets of Restyl (Alprazolam IP 0.25 mg) yesterday to get some sleep and the bleeding has not stopped yet. Please tell me is the bleeding not stopping because of me taking Restyl?

My mother is taking pause-mf for heavy bleeding. Her doc suggested that she take it twice a day when her menses starts and continue it for 5 days... but is it really necessary to take it for 5 days? I mean if the bleeding stops in 2 or 3 days, shouldn't she stop taking it? ## Pause-MF contains Tranexamic Acid and Mefenamic Acid and it is most commonly used to help control bleeding. I have irregular and excessive periods. I took Pause MF continuously for 4-5 months. Doctors diagnosed that the Endometrium thickness is 20 mm and gone for a D & C. Again for excessive bleeding I have to take Pause MF. I'm worried that it may lead to Endometrium thickness again.
