I've been taking ambien generics; the white and the peach oval. They have no effects on me. Until about two months ago cvs was carrying Teva MZ2. It was the only one that worked for me like a charm. My doctor gave ambien c.r they don't work at all the Teva purple one southeast the ambien c.r..I asked why cvs stopped carrying those they said it s the pharmaceutical stop sending to cvs. I was frustrated because I'm tired of changing medicine. I'm like here we go back to the medication that doesn't work for me and it's ripping the health insurance off. I wish they would survey which ambien works for each individual who takes them and why. I TOOK ALL AT ONCE & STILL CANT SLEEP :( ## Endo and Teva are both pharmaceutical manufacturers, not the names of any medications, so this doesn't inform anyone of what you actually took. And regarding any of them, including the Ambien, if you're taking more than your doctor has prescribed, you are putting yourself in danger of overdose. Rather than taking more and more of any given medication, you need to consult your doctor for assistance, you likely need to try something else. How often do you suffer from insomnia?

I have been taken ambien 10mg by teva for years and it worked for years. Now Walgreens has this oblong peach pill that is crap it is not ambien I don't care what they say. I took it 2 night got a migraine within 15 minutes of taking and was up all night by night 3 was in the ER I don't know who is making that crappy peach/pink pill and what little filler is in it but it's CRAP!!!!!!!!

For many years Qualitest has furnished an excellent generic version of Ambien 10 mg. I have tried various other manufacturers ---Teva, Mylan and they do not work for me. I called Qualitest (now part of Endo and Par Pharma) --- customer service on 2/24/16 and they indicated that they are getting allot of inquiries and stopped producing it in Oct 2015, due to "inability to get certain ingredients." I find this bizarre. It was a great seller. I use this 10 mg (TEVA 74) generic Ambien. Empty bottle, but 2 in pill box so I verified ID. I always cut it because 5 mg almost always does the sleepy job. Often take quarter pill, then an another 1/4 pill if still awake 1/2 hr later. IS TEVA 74 MADE OF THE SAME COMPOUND AS AMBIEN, OR DOES IT HAVE SLIGHT VARIATION..?? ## The pill in description is Zolpidem (10 mg), which is actually the generic for Ambien; however Generic Zolpidem is approved for the short-term (usually about two to six weeks) treatment of insomnia while Ambien CR is approved for long-term use….so I am assuming it may not be exactly one in the same (having a slight variation as you mentioned).
