My blood pressure was 140/110 for which my Dr prescribed Tazloc AM. After about 5 days I checked my blood pressure again and it was 130/96. My father (post CABG, 65 yrs) has been taking Telma AMH 40 instead of Telma AM 40 (which he took for a year or so post CABG) since last 3 months. Recently he was diagnosed with unexplained loss of electrolytes (hyponatremia, Na was 104 when detected, and corrected till 122). Can this loss be due to the usage of Telma AM or AMH? Dear sir, I am 60 year old male having hypertension as only health issue. Since last two years I am taking Vincor AM 50/5 ,(a Metoprolol- amlodipine combination) . My BP is well under control ( 80/128). As side effects I have developed Swelling in ankles. According to Doctor it is drug induced edema. he has suggested to change medication to Telsite H (40/12.5). I am a regular user of Stamlo beta and recently ankle pain has developed in my left toe. Further in recent blood tests creatinine serum value is also found 1.43mg/dl against max limit of 1.2mg/dl. I was taking Twynsta.. which was a combination of 10 mg amlodipine and 80 mg telmisartan for about 5 yrs. I didn't realize that amlodipine had so many side effects which I have been experiencing. Back,side,stomach pain,ankles swelling, muscle weakness and the list goes on.. My Dr took me off the amlodipine a couple days ago. I'm experiencing increased pain in body, legs, ankles. i have been on Telma H and Amlo Denk for more than a year and i experience the following: headaches excrutiating pain on my anle joint every morning or walking after sitting for a long time excrutiating back pain every morning high frequency of urinating in the evening feeling tired ## Telma-H contains Telmisartan and Hydrochlorothiazide, the Hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic and removes fluid from the body, this would explain the frequent urinating. When do you take this? If you're taking it at night, you should speak to your doctor about taking it in the morning, so you aren't having to get up to urinate so much at night.
