Why do Pristiq only come in 100 or 50 mg tablets. I have to take 150mg daily and i am therefore having to pay for both scripts each month which is rather costly. ## Studies have shown that even though it is safe to take pristiq in doses greater than 100 mg it has shown no increased effectiveness. Therefore 150 mg is not a sensible dosage. Speak to your doctor. ## Hi, Jasmine! I am sorry about the issue you're having, but Buttons is on the right track. Once a medication has been tested and the various efficacy levels of dosages have been proven or disproven, it is only manufactured in the approved dosages. Thus, if they found during testing that there was no benefit to a higher dose, or perhaps even dangers found to using it in higher amounts, then they will not manufacturer those do...

I received "benazepril 20 mg tab sol" instead of "benazepril 20 mg tab amn". What is the difference? ## They have just been manufactured by different companies, which is very common with generics. the sol stands for Solco and the amn for Amneal. The FDA lists the typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. Is there anything else I can help with?

i m 29 yrs old can i take evion 400 for long term just for health suppliment ## how to turn my lips to pink ## @ Sanj, Evion is simply a Vitamin E supplement, with this being the only active ingredient. In my opinion there is nothing wrong supplementing a vitamin or even multivitamin supplement for long term health benefits (even over the course of a lifetime); especially if one's diet does not reap all of the essential nutrients our bodies require. Dosing indications for Evion are stated below: "Usually prescribed to 100-300 mg / day. If necessary the dose may be increased to 1 g / day." Additionally, below you can find a number of different foods that contain high amounts of Vitamin E: Avocado Blackberries Black Currants Blueberries Boysenberries Breadfruit Cranberries Gua...

I have been given Pulmison 20 mg tablets to clear up blocked Eustscheon tubes, as I have lost some of my hearing due to acute sinus. I started getting heart palpitations since taking the tablets which is quite severe for several hours a day. Should I discontinue taking them? ## Hi, Rosemary Ann! How are you? Pulmison contains the active ingredient Prednisone, which is a steroid class medication and it can cause palpitations as a side effect in some people that take it. Learn more Pulmison details here. Have you consulted your doctor? In many cases, palpitations are benign and just annoying, but if they involve tachycardia or other irregularities, they should be medically checked out.

I'm used to taking 10 mg of methadone with an M on it. Now I've been given a round white pill with 54/142 ASC. I am sleepy, nauseous, and have no energy. I've never felt this way before, in fact the M's give me energy. Why is this happening? ## I imagine you're getting a generic version.. How do they get away with this? Do the pharmacies benefit by automatically changing this over possibly making more money with a generic? I've experienced this with other drugs and since there is no way of knowing if the generic version is up to the standard of the original, who knows if you're getting the maximum benifit that you're meant to get? ## I can tell you without a doubt that they are generic. Do they make a smurf blue norco that looks just like the yellow 10s with a v on one side? ## Hi Ben, I just did some research on this and wonder if you may be thinking of the imprint "V 35 97"?, which is an oval blue generic norco 10mg/650mg tablet. I don't believe they are being manufactured any longer due to the new laws restricting the amount of acetaminophen to 325mgs. But, if you want to look this pill up for verification, it also carries a National Drug Code of 00603-3885. I hope this helps! ## Is this what you are talking about? A skin rash has developed on my face chest abdomen an arms, should I stop taking this medicine. I'm taking it for strep throat and do not want it to come back. I also can not afford seeing a Dr., what should I do?! I took a benadryl for the rash till I learned it was a side effect ## Hello, Tiffany! How are you? Yes, a rash can be a side effect of this antibiotic and isn't harmful, unless it's an allergic rash that may get worse. An allergic rash usually involves hives and itching, while the side effect one is solely a topical skin rash. It will usually go away, once you finish your course of treatment with the antibiotic. However, you should have it checked out to be sure. Is there anything else I can help with?

The pharmacy pamphlet says not to break or crush but I'm wondering if I can split my 20 MG Dicyclomine tablets in half to see what effects the med will have on me before taking a whole 20 MG tablet. I have read on forums that people do split them all the time but I would feel better hearing the answer from a professional. So is it okay ti split a 20 MG dicyclomine tablet in half? ## If the instructions for the ones you have say not to break, or crush them, then you should not do so. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this medication as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, flatulence, and diarrhea. Any feedback would be appreciated, ## Hi Greg, Is the site you purchased your meds from reputable? I'm pretty sure that the difference in shape is only because of the different manufacturer. What is the active ingredient of this tablet? How many of zolfresh 10mg are considered a normal dose? ## Hi Navi, I'd sure like to hope that you're not "that person" overdosing on Zolfresh. Based on my research, 10 mgs daily of the immediate release formula is the maximum recommended dose of Zolfresh (Zolpidem). There's really no good reason for a person to take anything over that; especially 50x that!! According to a drug monograph on wikipedia, an overdose of Zolpidem may lead to too much sedation as well as impaired respiratory function. Either of these could potentially develop into a coma, & in some cases death. Something very important to remember or even take note of, is that Zolpidem overdosage can be remedied with what's called a benzodiazepine recep...

Substituted for xanax 0.5 mg, what does the label mean? ## Is xanax .5 a strong xanax? ## Xanax contains the active ingredient Alprazolam, this is a Benzodiazepine, used to treat nerve and anxiety disorders and some cases of insomnia. 0.5mgs means it is half a milligram, so no, not a particularly strong dose, but this is a very potent medication, so if you haven't taken it before, it will probably work quite well for you. And "Myl" most likely means the manufacturer "Mylan" Some common side effects you may experience can include: nausea, drowsiness, dry mouth and headache. ## No, I take .5 twice a day. They're really not strong enough. ## No, not very strong, it's only a 1/2 mg ## Just save up a few doses.

They are meant to be Valium but dissolve very quick and taste bitter but more so sweet. Definitely not like any real quality Valium I’ve had. ## Roche Brand valium (diazepam)10 mg are light blue. The only white Roche valium are 2 mg with a score on the other side. So whatever you have are neither valium or even diazepam. Only benzo that are very bitter would be Alprazolam. Roche brand klonopin are white with a 2 and a dot imprinted either side of the 2 and are scored with a an + on back to be broken into 4 x 0.5 doses but they have a mild minty after taste.. ## At first I didn't believe they were diazapam at all, but they came up in my lab work as diazapam for quite some time. It is the sleeping pill most commonly used in hospitals. it comes in doses of 15 and 30 mg. What is its name? It is not Seconal. Ir is a low potency drug, it's more of a hypnotic than a barbiturate. ## I'm sorry, but unfortunately, the color doesn't really help identify it. And, as to what it may be, that can really depend on the area, the preferred drug of choice can vary from area to area and hospital to hospital. For instance, out here in Washington, the hospital in my area uses Ambien, which is available as a 5 and 10mg tablet. Does anyone else have any ideas? ## Likely, you are referring to the Schedule IV benzodiazepine "Restoril" or the generic pill/capsule version. The generic name is temazepam.
