my wife is diabetic. she had the 3 synvisc injections one week apart. after the second injection her blood sugar dropped by about 20%. after the third shot her blood sugar dropped another 20%. she takes 1 injection of lantus per day. she has had to reduce this by 75%. we cant find any information on synvisc changing a persons blood sugar level and dont know if the events are related ## I can't find anything reporting that Synvisc has been known to cause it. Such as her diet, other medications, getting more exercise?

what is cockscomb? is it the same as Synvisc? ## Based on my research, there are no medications that have the name "cockscomb". The term "cockscomb" refers to a type of plant/flower that grows in warm, humid, tropical conditions. From what I can tell, it doesn't have any medicinal uses. My wife has an arthiritic knee and has been advised SYNVISC injections ( 6 ml), to be repeated three times. How effective is the treatment? It contains the active ingredient hyaluronan, which is a substance that is naturally present in our joints, so the injection is used to help replace it and alleviate arthritic symptoms. The FDA warns that its side effects may include administration site irritation, redness, and pain. Can you please double check the name and clarify?

I'm fed up with masking the problem with fentenyl patches/norco!My doctor prescribed generic synvisc inj. @ approx 1,400, works for 6-8 mo. All MRIs done and correct DX. They won't cover it! Do they want us addicted to make money or plain stupid? ## The answer you're looking for is the almighty dollar.
