My doctor took me off Plavix two weeks ago, and I`ve noticed the bruise`s on my forearm`s starting itching alot!! Also started getting little blisters, before the itching. Is this normal? & what should I put on it until I see my doctor in 5more day`s? ## Plavix contains Clopidogrel, which is an antiplatelet agent used to help prevent clotting, so it does have an effect on circulation, so this could be a reaction to being taken off of it suddenly, because your body has to readjust to not having the medication, now. Withdrawal symptoms can manifest in many different ways. What you are describing is basically a type of hives, which means the histamine receptors in your body are probably being oversensitive, right now. There are many topical allergy products on the market that you can p...

I went to the E.R. on Sun night for a migraine and they ended prescribing amox/k clav 875/125, 1x every 12 hrs. & flonase spray for sinnitius & something about slanted ear or something to do with ears. Now what my concern is, it is now Thursday and i've taken as prescribed. However since the 2nd day of dosing my symptoms went from (only the doctor noticed them and then treated to) me being miserable with sinuses either running/foamy, to feeling like bees built a hive. & my eyes either water like a faucet or they feel gooey in the inner corners while eyelashes feel like spider legs. Also noticed inside the inner corner of my eye behind the tear duct all through the corner it's reddish with yellow spots. Is this anything that i need to return to my doctor for or will t...

Our 7 YO daughter has had unexplained hives and rash for over 9 months, treating with hydroxyzine, Zantac, Singulair, and Xyzal. It had mostly cleared up and then she caught a cold so we gave her the recommended dosage of Veramyst. Within 24 hours her hives and rash were back, with fever, swollen feet and hands, and one bloody nose. The last dose was over 3 weeks ago and symptoms are diminishing, but still present (100.1 fever this morning). Has anyone else experienced reactions like this? ## my almost 6yo daughter was placed on antibiotics and veramyst for a sinus infection. She had about 3-4 doses of veramyst during a week's time. I had missed a couple of days of it and gave it to her before bedtime. She awoke a few hours later with intense itching and a rash all over her body. Th...

Hi. I finished a 6 day cycle for poison ivy. The pi is drying up, however I now have hives all along my hip and an itchy rash across abdomen. Could this be a reaction from the meds? At first I thought it was more PI coming out-but looks more like hives and it had been almost 2 weeks since exposure. Thanks. ## Hives can be symptoms of an allergic reaction, as reported by the FDA. Other symptoms may include swollen glands, trouble breathing, and throat/facial swelling. It would be a good idea to inform your doctor to have this checked out, because if you are allergic, you will need to avoid this medication in the future, because such allergic reactions tend to worsen with repeated exposure, there are several NIH articles that you can read that discuss this. Is there anything else I can he...

Started paying real close attention to symptoms and realized I never woke up with hives, they always appeared about half hour after Linzesse was taken and improved by end of the day. Stopped taking it and 48 hours later no hives, itching or sinus symptoms. Still dealing with fatigue. It did helps constipation problem although I came real close to more than one accident. Metoprolol succ er 50 mg. I am prone to severe rashes & hives from several medications. I am reluctant to start this new Med for hypertension because rashes & hives are frightful. Will it diminish after time if I continue to take it? ## If such reactions are due to an allergy, they tend to get worse with repeated exposure, so you should consult a doctor, if they manifest, according to NIH reports. Have you had any swelling, or trouble breathing? Those can also be symptoms of an allergic reaction. Have you tried taking this mediation, yet? What other medications do you currently take?

i had chronic hives for close to a year, and the only thing that changed was me stopping zyrtec. Zyrtec for me is dangerous as it makes u seem like your life depended on it, but it doesnt! Even when it seems that Zyrtec is helping you, for me, my body has probably healed by itself of the hive problem but zyrtec is the one that is still causing it to happen! beware of its withdrawal symptoms and if you have to take it, take a minuscule amount of it, and try to ween yourself off it as soon as possible.
