Smoking Before Surgery

I am a very grateful 43 year young woman. I quit smoking for the 1st time after smoking for 24 years. I was having an elective surgery and my surgeon said I had to quit 14 days before my procedure. Which I ended up quitting 12 days before. He nicotine tested me the day of my procedure to be sure I hadn't smoked. I let him know it had only been 12 days, and I was able to have my procedure! I began taking Chantix on 3/27/08 and by the next morning they already tasted bad. I had my last cigarette at 7am on 3/30/08. I took Chantix for 30 days and have never craved or smoked again. It's been 7 years and 8 months. When I think back its hard to imagine ever smoking. Which my seem crazy since I smoked over half my life. Where can I buy Cytisine strips over the counter in Nampa, Idaho? I want to stop smoking (actually I need to stop smoking). I have a surgery that needs to be done on my back and they want no nicotine in my body whatsoever. So please send me some information on this. I basically want to know if it is a nicotine free alternative to smoking because I cannot use Nicorette or the patches since they contain nicotine. I will be blood tested to make sure there is no nicotine in my body before my procedure. ## Look on eBay / Amazon or search online. I have been taking Lovenox for 1 1/2 years for a DVT (ankle to groin) and multiple clots in my lungs (all four quadrants). No one can figure out WHY I grew the super clot...it did not reabsorb and is still there. I had a Tulip filter put in before surgery (remove ovary) because suspected cancer...pathology was normal, but the CA 'number' went down. Long story short, I was cut off my Opana ER 5mg because I was unable to quit smoking cigarettes in the 2 weeks I had. Crazy but that's the pain management world...they can do whatever they want. Anyway, I was in horrible pain and withdrawal and the doc did nothing to help. I even passed out and injured my shoulder and the surgical site for melanoma surgery I had a week before. I still needed to work and take care of my family. I was able to obtain ten 15mg morphine ER pills to help with pain and withdrawal from the Opana. I took one 15mg pill every day for 7 days. I was able to plead my case and get into a new pain clinic. They got me in quicker than I expected. I will have my first appointment 4 days after taking the 15mg morphine ER. Im a heroin addict of 12 years and on methadone down to 12 ml now but im also addicted to vallium and if i dont take vallium twice a week i have massive panic attacks and nearly had a fit before. Im having surgery for ovarian cancer in 10 days its a massive op. They taking alot out of me. I will obviously tell doc what i take but im worried if it affects the aneastetic etc. I read somewhere that stuff that blocks opiod receptors helps with cancer. Does heroin block opiod receptors?
