I am having sensitivity (pain)in my right breast area since taking this drug for one month i take it every other morning also developed a cough ## I am also on losarton and now I have this hacking cough. But not to worry my doctor just emailed me that there is no chance that this medicine could cause my cough and if I wanted to go off it that would be fine and let her know how it turns out. It is always nice when you find that your doctor would rather be right than listening to her patient and offering harmful advice. I really have no choice but to go off the medicine just so I can stop the hacking, it has gotten so bad I am not sleeping. Good luck. ## Losartan can definitely cause that cough, it does happen to quite a few people that take it and that side effect will not wear off, so i...

Side affects. Of losartan-hctz 100-25 mg tab metoprolol. Tartrate 5pmg and adipex. 37.5 mg ## Hello, Anna! How are you? If you're taking it for high blood pressure, you might not be able to take Adipex, because it is a stimulant that can cause elevated blood pressure and heart rate, which may put you in danger. It can also cause other side effects, such as nervousness, insomnia, dizziness, headache, irritability and carries the risk of being habit forming. There are no interactions or problems listed between these two medications, that I can find, but I strongly urge you to check with your doctor, before taking the Adipex to make sure that it is safe for you to do so. Is there anything else I can help with?

I took one pill and an hour later took another one.... What do i need to do? Will it hurt me? ## While it is always best to check with a medical professional, according to most FDA reports, doubling up just once is usually not dangerous, unless someone is allergic/sensitive to a medication. But it may cause you to experience more severe side effects than usual, which could include nausea, dizziness, headache, and increase urination. How are you doing? Did you experience any adverse effects?

Took my BP this morning at 10:00 am, was128/63. At 7:34 pm, 141/70, took one Losartan 25mg. And checked at 9:50pm, 147/74. No exercise, no drinking. I have neglected the last few days to take the Losartan 25mg pill. Blood pressure was good 127-130 with 65-70-73. Only recently started on Losartan. Should I be increased to 50mg ## Hello, Joe! How are you? Before you increase your dose, you need to take it consistently for about 4 to 5 weeks to see how well this dose is going to work for you, which means no skipping doses. It is normal for your blood pressure to fluctuate throughout the day, depending on what you've eaten, activity levels and etc. Even anxiety or worrying about your blood pressure can cause changes in the readings. The U.S. FDA lists its typical side effects as possibl...

I have been taking losartan 50 mg a day, but divided in the morning and night. As my dr noticed side effects, I was later prescribed 25 mg. It has been 10 days but I have serious cramps in my legs when I'm jogging or walking. I'll consult with my dr... My bp is 120/80. Is there another medicine that will lower my bp but with less side effects than losartan? Or can I take half of 25mg one time a day? ## I am taking this drug as well with the same side affects. My blood pressure has been running low the past days. Today average is 107/70. Will I still take the losartan? I also am being treated for anxiety. I took last night 8pm .125mg of CLONAZEPAM (1/4 pill). That's probably worn out by today 6pm. Please help me decide. I'm scared that if I don't take losartan my BP might rise. ## Hello, Techi! How are you? Those aren't dangerously low numbers and you should still take your medication as prescribed by your doctor. Stopping suddenly creates the risk of a rebound effect that could cause your blood pressure and heart rate to elevate to dangerous levels. The typical side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, stomach pain and hypotension. The Clonazepam can also lower your blood pressure, ...

Are these side effects going to gradually improve and how long will it take? ## Hello, Paul! How are you? Has there been any change? It usually takes about 4 to 5 weeks for such side effects to improve, as reported by the U.S. FDA. You may also experience nausea, headache and increased urination. If they don't improve in that time frame, you should consult your doctor as you may need to try a different medication. Is there anything else I can help with?

Ok, is the yellow losartan pill 25 mg or 100 mg? Kind of confusing. Is this a high dosage or a low dosage? Thanks, David ## Is that the complete marking? Can you please post back and clarify? Is the marking E 49? If so this tablet is listed by Aurobindo Pharma as containing 25mgs of Hydrocholorothiazide and 100mgs of Losartan. It is used to treat high blood pressure, and certain cardiac conditions. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, dehydration, and hypotension. Thus, it is actually neither, since it s a combination medication that contains 2 active ingredients, in different dosages.

If the doctor prescribed 25mg of Losartan, can I cut a 50 mg of Losartan in half? Thought it would save some money. ## Hello, Rita! How are you? Yes, that can be done, as long as it's not a time released medication and your doctor approves. I've been doing this every day for several years, now. Before I had insurance, I discover it was much cheaper to buy 30 of the 50mg tablets, instead of 60 25mg tablets, and break them in half, since I take it twice a day. Most of them are even scored to make it easier to do so. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination, and hypotension. The one caution I would like to posit is to make sure you take it will a full glass of water and swallow it immediately. This medication tend...

I accidentaly took two 25mg losartan but one in the morning and one at 2pm will i be okay ## Hello, Dee Dee! How are you? Did you suffer any adverse effects? Anytime you are worried about a possible overdose, you should contact your doctor, poison control or go to your nearest ER, for your own safety. As to the dosage, it can be given in doses up to 100mgs a day. However, accidentally doubling your dose could cause your blood pressure to go lower than usual, so you may experience dizziness, drowsiness and headache. If you have a smartphone, I'd suggest getting a reminder app for prescriptions. One that not only reminds you when to take them, but one that makes you acknowledge when you've taken it, to avoid such instances in the future.

I take 100 mg losartan a day along with 10mg amlodipine. I have really bad aches and pains in all my joints and muscles. Is losartan to blame as I did not have it before? ## It is not a statin drug, but it can cause those types of side effects in some people that take it. The NIH lists other typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, and increased urination. The increased urination could also cause it, if you are becoming dehydrated. How are you doing, now? Has there been any change? ## I get dizziness and almost unbearable foot pain.
