Was on Lisinopril for at least one year. Over time developed bad asthma (at first thought must be having anxiety attacks due to feeling shortenss of breath as though breathing with only partial lung, but have never had anxiety!) and Reynauds Syndrome. Told Dr. about worsening nerve symptoms making my feet feel as though freezing, couldn't even sleep at night from discomfort despite rest of body felt normal. No useful or focused response. Progressed to up to my knees and feet and toes turning awful colors like a diabetic with no circulation. Asthma progressed until waking up gasping for air so hard my back hurt for days afterward. Finally, happened to see my ENT who called me 30 minutes after I left her office and told me to stop Lisinopril right away. Stopped it and symptoms cleared...

I am currently taking IC Lisinopril-HCTZ 25MG. and i have erectile disfunctions. I found a male enhancement called Vim-25 and it works for me but, i actually took it before reading the package. It mentions that people with high blood pressure shouldn't take the drug or contact a doctor to see if it's safe. I cant ever get a response from doctor about the situation when i call because he is constantly busy. So can you please give me some enlightment on this situation. ## Vim-25 is a natural supplement that is claimed to help with erectile dysfunction. Being a natural product, that is not actually proven to do anything, the side effect or interaction profiles have not been studied and they have to put that warning on the label for people suffering from health problems. Because the...

Has Lisinopril made anyone hungrier or made you gain weight? I am also getting terrible cramps in my legs. I started taking Potassium on my own to stop this pain. Any advice? ## Hello, Madeline! Could Lisinopril cause groggy or bad mood swings? ## I have experienced the exact opposite of grogginess and mood swings. I awake feeling refreshed and my mood is much better than before I started taking the drug because I feel better. ## my brother has psoriasis - does Lisinoprol cause skin irritation as does Toprol? ## Well first off, I must state that drugs affect different people in different ways, so while one person did not have a problem with grogginess or mood swings, someone else very well could. Our body chemistry does a lot to affect how a drug affects us. Now to the question on skin irritation, I do not see anything listed for that in the monohraph: Lisinopril Info Click Here But, as I said, the only way to really know is for your brother to try it, it can affect different ...

Im wondering how long after taking the Lisinopril the effects begin, as in, when you take it, how many minutes later is it working on your system? ## There's technically no right or wrong answer to this. It just depends on the individual's metabolism. Generally it could be felt anywhere from a few minutes to as long as two hours after ingestion, depending on whether or not the user took it with food or on a full stomach or on an empty stomach, etc. Lisinopril exhibits an effective half-life of accumulation for roughly 12 hours after it's in your system. I know this isn't a precise answer, but I hope it helps shed some light. ## I have had nosebleeds after taking lisinopril for over a year i started to keep track of the nose bleeds and noticed that within 2 hrs after taki...

dizziness, lightheaded, fatigue, diarrhea, sleepy ## Yes, those can all be side effects of Lisinopril with Hydrochlorthiazide, which is commonly used to treat high blood pressure and cardiac conditions. Most of the symptoms you mentioned can also be from dehydration, so you have to make sure you are taking in enough fluids to keep your body balanced out. Been taking 10-12 mg.Lisinopril/Hydro for 2 yrs. My mom just passed away with ARDS and I believe it was caused by her taking Lisinopril. It just scared me so much, that I told my doctor I didn't want to take it anymore. I am also on 25 mg. Metoprolol. My doctor told me to just stop it and visit him in two weeks. So far I feel okay but still have a dry cough now and then and feel like I am fighting a head cold. Does this sound par for the course on this med.? ## Has there been any change? Yes, those can be normal side effects and withdrawal effects of Lisinopril, but things should improve in a few weeks as your body adjusts, according to FDA reports. Will headaches from lisinopril diminish. How long? ## Hello, Mary! How are you? The FDA classifies Lisinopril as an ACE inhibitor that's most commonly used to treat high blood pressure and certain cardiac conditions. Along with headaches, other possible side effects may include nausea, dizziness, increased urination, stomach pain and hypotension. The side effects should taper off in time, as your body gets used to the medication, but it may take about 4 to 6 weeks. If the headaches get worse, or don't improve after that time period, then please consult your doctor. Is there anything else I can help with?

This has happened a few times over a month during my sleep. Tonite at a theater after sitting two hours. Extremely painful for 20 minutes. ## Hello, Pan! How are you? I'm very sorry about the cramping. HCTZ stands for Hydrochlorothiazide, which the FDA classifies as a diuretic, so it removes fluid from the body to help treat high blood pressure. So, there are two possible explanations, since the removal of fluid also causes potassium loss, you may be deficient in potassium; or you may be dehydrated if you're not taking in enough fluid to make up for the amount it is removing. Other side effects, as listed by the FDA, may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, increased urination and stomach pain. Have you consulted your doctor? It would be best to do so, to determine the ...

The peak effect occurs at 6 hours after taking the pill. Other patients state that it should make a difference to your blood pressure in about 2 days time, based on their personal experience. After almost 4 years on Lisinopril 5mg, I started experiencing moderate dizziness and drowsiness. The symptoms begin about 1-2 hours after I take my medicine, and peak about 4 hours after taking it. I saw another person on the forums just recently had a similar issue which they had linked to a change in the manufacturer. Interestingly enough, I was able to pinpoint the day that my problems started - and it happened to be on the day I had my prescription refilled. On a whim, I checked my Walgreens and sure enough, in the past 30 days, they had also switched to a new manufacturer as well. I'm checking with my doctor now, but thought I would post this here in case anyone else finds it helpful. ## Hello, Paul! How are you? There's a chance that the new tablets you received are a lit...
