I hade shingles in the right eye four years ago and still have pain in the right side of my face and right side of my head will aspergel help this ## Hello, Alice! How are you? Have you consulted your doctor? It might be due to some nerve damage, and if that is the case, the Aspergel may not be strong enough to help. The FDA lists its typical side effects as including skin redness, irritation and rash. Are you on any other medications?

I started taking Gabapentin 300mg x 3 daily on May 13,015 for severe shingles pain in my ear, mouth and face. June 16,2015 I began having memory lapses not walking straight as well as anxiety. My doctor told me to go off cold turkey. I was to be taking tylenol for the pain as it was not as severe. I also take .5 mg Lorazepam for anxiety up to 2 times per day as needed for my copd depression. I also take .25 Zoloft once daily. I had forgotten to take my Zoloft for three days last week. Now I am having nausea all day long as well as feeling like just crawling in bed. I also have hot flashes. I now do not know which one I am having WD from? Doc says if it continues make an appointment. Take tums for the nausea. They do nothing. I cannot eat until I take a Lorazepam ... as this settles the ...

I had shingles in my head and part of my face ner eye area I started taking 75 Gm twice a day then I took it once a day, and now I am taking 25 Gm twice a day, I want to stop it. ## In my opinion, such a low dose. Try one 25 gm a day for a few days and then nothing. ## I can only assume you didn't mean grams, gm, but rather mgs, as in milligrams. Can you please post back and clarify? At such a low dose, there should not be any need to taper. The FDA warns that the typical withdrawal effects may possibly include nausea, dizziness, headache, diarrhea, fever, and chills. ## Hi, I have been tapering from 2x75mg a day for 5weeks then dropped to 2x50mg, now on 2 weeks of 1x25mg then stop all together. Reading horror stories about withdrawal. How did you cope with just stopping when you go...

Does gabapentin help after you have suffered from the adverse effects of cipro or another fluoroquinolone? ## Hi Jerri, Gabapentin is marketed for use in treating neuropathy (nerve pain), seizures and pain caused by shingles. Did the effects of Cipro cause such symptoms? If so, you can talk to your doctor about prescribing Gabapentin. Can you describe what adverse effects you experienced? Depending on the conditions you're faced with, there may be something better suited than Gabapentin. I hope this helps and that you get well soon!

I took neurontin for approx 5 days - 100 mg for 2 days, 100 x 2 for 2 days and 100 x3 for 1 day. It was prescribed to me for post herpatic nerve pain related to shingles. In the middle of the night after my 5th day of medication, I woke to use to the bathroom. When I sat up in bed, I nearly fell over to the right side. After sitting for a while, I stood and walked, also staggering to the right side. I then had tingling and numbness in right arm, right side of face, lips. Went to ER and had CT Scan, MRI, echo, ekg, and neck vessel study, blood tests; and was admitted for observation. All tests negative. I thought I had a stroke. TIA cannot be 100% ruled-out, but I do not have any risk factors for stroke. I am 50 yrs old female, non-smoker, not overweight, have low -to-normal blood pressu...

I just found a few pills in my husbands pants pocket. The pill is white& oval' one side of the pill is marked 800 & the other side is marked N947. Could you also tell me why he would be using this pill? ## He has genital herpes ## He may not have herpes, dont solidify your opinions based upon some online scarcastic post. The pill is for cold sores. I recently got a severe sunburn on my face that resulted in a fever blister/cold sore that was so sever I had to take the exact same meds. ## The pill must be ACYCLOVIR 800 MG. Acyclovir is used to decrease pain and speed the healing of sores or blisters in people who have varicella (chickenpox), herpes zoster (shingles; a rash that can occur in people who have had chickenpox in the past), and first-time or repeat outbreaks of gen...
