I'm in Houston. There is so much syrup here its like the wild west. It's crazy how it's gone worldwide as far as recreational use. ## Didn't the discontinuation of syrup from activist in 2014 slow down the trade down there? ## @gladiatorways, It is crazy how there so many people who take allergy, cough & cold medicine recreationally as if it's chocolate ice cream or something delicious. When I was little I used to feel like throwing up those miniature cap-fulls of cough syrup, they'd taste so bad (not to mention possible side effects). I was told that the company Allergan is making a codeine with promethazine cough syrup previously manufactured by actavis is this true? ## @Mike, According to Allergan's product page (linked below), they do make Promethazine HCL (6.25 mg) + Codeine Phosphate (10 mg) syrup listed under the "Actavis Rx Product Catalog" on page 27 here: allergan.com/Actavis/media/PDFDocuments/2013_US_Rx_Product_Catalog.pdf. Based on the information in that link I think you're right that the formula could've been acquired from Actavis. And for further verification, the syrup in question also carries the following National Drug Codes of 00472-1627-04 and 00472-1627-16.
