My disabled daughter has been PEG fed with Jevity Promote for the last two weeks. We noticed that her thirst increased dramatically and she became very sleepy, both of which I found listed as tow of the more common side effects. However, we were also alarmed to note that she seemed to be suffering from fluid retention. Her face and ankles became puffy and swollen, and she seemed much more bloated generally. The day she started eating of her own accord, we noticed an almost immediate improvement in the swelling. Does anyone have any similar experience?

My hair is falling out, I think I will be bald soon. I am taking Inderal/Propranolol 10 mg, 4 times a day; Omeprazole/Prilosec, once a day; Amitriptyline 50mg once at night; Ibuprofen 800mg 3 times a day...for migraines and body pain. Would any of these meds cause my hair to fall out? Thanks for any help! ## Hi, Pixie! Sorry about the hair loss. It is most likely the Inderal that is causing your hair loss, it is very common with the beta blocker medications. Learn more Inderal details here. Have you consulted your doctor? Usually it will stop and start to reverse, once you stop the medication and switch to a different one. ## Hi I have been on propranolol for nearly 2yrs and my hair has fallen out at a alarming rate! Its is the side affect on these tablets, the doctor did not tell me abo...

I am prescribed 1 Cephalexin 500mg pill every 6 hours for a UTI. How many is that a day? How should I adjust when I sleep 8-9 hours at night? ## That would be 4 tablets a day, so if you were told to take them at that frequency, you should use an alarm to make sure to take as prescribed. The FDA lists the typical side effects of this antibiotic as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Have you started taking it, yet? Are you on any other medications?

I took a plan b one step, then started what I thought was my period a week later (one week early, which I figured was normal). On day 2 of bleeding, I inserted a nuvaring. I had used nuvaring a couple of months prior, but had skipped a month, then inserted a new one. Well, it is now 13 days of straight bleeding. Sometimes light, sometimes heavier period bleeding. I am more annoyed than alarmed. I live in a rural area and have to drive an hour to see a DrDr. I figure it will stop eventually, but I am getting impatient and wondering if I should take the nuvaring outout and use condoms or if this will just prolong it. Anyone had a similar reaction to Plan B +nuvaring? If so, how long did it last?! I would love to be intimate with my man but we're a bit new for *that* kind of intimacy. ...

Hello, Just started on imitrex nasal spray 2 days ago, had to use 2nd dose at exactly the 2 hour mark the first night ('alarm clock headache' at 5am). Used it tonight and an hour later vomited, felt a little better, but still have lingering headache. Is this all normal? As it is the weekend, cannot verify with my PMD, and just want to make sure I am taking it properly - should I be lying down, head upright? Any better way of administration? And is it ok that I am taking advil/excedrin migraine along with it when I feel it is not working? ## Hello, Kimg! How are you? Unless you've been specifically instructed otherwise, such sprays should always be used while sitting or standing upright. The nausea, vomiting and mild headache can all be side effects of Imitrex, along with diz...

found this in my car my 18 year old son drives to school. orange tablet about the size of a rolaid with line on one side, and L461 on the other side im thinking maybe a blood pressure pill. i need to know before i freakout about this. ## Found round large tablet with L461 on it. the 6 may not be a 6 but yet a symbal ## if this is a chewable pill, do not be alarmed. i have some, too. it is simply some junior strength ibuprofen (for ages 2-11), a pain reducer/fever reducer. ## The provided identification is correct, this is a chewable, 100mg Ibuprofen tablet for children, it's used to treat pain and fever, it is available over the counter. Side effects may be more predominant in children and may include nausea, headache, drowsiness and stomach irritation. Are there any questions or co...

I had my colon removed and now have a J-pouch. My stool is almost always runny and I take bulk laxative along with bentyl and imodium. During the day there is no problem but nights I set my alarm clock every 2 hours so I don' mess myself or the bed. Would the Tenture of opium help at night and is it addictive? I am a diabetic on an insulin pump. ## What has your doctor advised? Opium tinctures can be addictive and cause serious side effects, so they should never be used without your doctor's approval. ## I was in the same situation as you, and have a J-pouch as well. I took Tincture of Opium for about 7 years. It does help at night time, slightly. There will still be issues, but it's main benefit I experienced was the fact that I would actually sleep, rather than constantly ...

I'm 12th week pregnant.my doctor suggest me to take sustain 200 at bed time. I felt no problem with that, always felt tight vagaina during entering sustain 200. But now I'm feeling very loose vagaina and easily entering the cupsul in passage. I'm very tensed about it. Is it alarming or bad sign. I have no pain and bleeding. ## Is it causing you any pain or discomfort? Also, does it have a bad odor like a yeast infection? ## No discomfort no pain no bleeding. Pls suggest me is it normal? ## It likely just means you're more relaxed inserting it now than you were before. Your vagina will not always be as tight as it is at some moments, it is normal for that to change. There are very strong muscles in your vaginal walls and they may be tight, or loose depending on your tensi...

I believe this drug was the old alternative to HRT. I have been taking it for 4 years and it works. However, I have been alarmed by pharmaceutical industry friends pointing out that it contains a narcotic. I have recently cut back to 1/2 pill per day BUT have been gaining weight despite following fairly strictly the Weight Watchers program. Are any of the ingredients (belladonna, ergot or phenobarb) known for affecting metabolism? If so, perhaps mine has been slowed recentlyby my reduction of the does. Help please!! ## To Brigid Brown: I have just recently been prescribed the belladonna/ phenobarb tab for heart burn. Does it really work because I still have heartburn?

anyone know what to do? PHARMACY ALWAYS OUT' OR SHORT', but whrn they have some its less and i have to take what they have and suffer rest of the time, checked all over same problem every where i go, HELP' on disability and cant afford the name brand ## I find it very alarming that a lot of the pharmacies love to price gouge ....I went from paying about $125 to over $1,000 for my prescription in a matter of two yrs. every month the pharmacies would go up $0.50 to a dollar! This month it went from $8 to $10 each pill ...this should be illegal! It's as if they are legal drug dealers. It is so unfair ## ok yess they defiantly shouldnt do that its like they are dealing them to the customers lol :)

I can't get my Adderall XR refill for 2 days. I take it as prescribed once per day. I didn't realize the script I had on hand was from over a month ago. Will I have a problem missing Sat and Sunday doses until I can get ahold of my doctor? ## I don't want to seem alarmist or cause you to worry, but it is possible that you may start to experience mild withdrawal symptoms if you are going for 2+ days without your usual dose. One good thing you have going for you is the fact that you are taking it once per day as prescribed, so it's not like you've been dosing your body at abnormally high amounts. I found an article about this on WebMD which states: "Signs of withdrawal usually show up a day or two after you stop taking it. They may last a few days to several weeks ...

What would you suggest me some medicines or products which can improve my health and gain more weight faster. Please I need your help. Thank you. ## Ivee, Hello,I don't want to cause alarm but when loss of wieght is problematic and all attempts to regain that amount is unsuccessful the only prudent thing to do is visit a doctor for an evaluation so as to rule out any underlying condition that may be causing this loss. There are few products effective for this purpose. However you may want to try an OTC milkshake like product called ENSURE .There are others but they are traditionally used for those with illnesses that are unable to eat whole or nutrient rich foods. I had ADD, no focus, all-day compulsive overeating, & night heartburn. Now, on 20mg Adderall upon waking, wait 1 hr to eat, then 20mg at 1pm (watch alarm) to get thru day. No other mental/emotional issues, stable life. It wakes up certain part of the brain, foggy/blank before. Used coffee but acid and tolerance buildup were problems. My pulse 60-66, & blood pressure 105/60 ideal, didn't worry about heart problems. Initially my heart raced and leg nerve agitation at night, but current side effects: Vision prescription (nearsighted) worse .25 ea eye, tried Oasis contacts for dryness, but silicon irritated eyes so back to Acuvue 2, wear only 12 hrs. I have just been told I have a mild to moderate faulty heart valve I was taking 100g of Celebrex for 3-4 months earlier this year, I took myself off them as I never really felt well taking them, can Celebrex cause this problem? For some reason my blood pressure increased at an alarming rate even though I was taking a blood medication which was well under control. I am a non smoker, non drinker, and have always exercised and played some form of sport, what are your thoughts? I would be very interested to hear them. Lynette. ## Hello, Lynette! How are you? Yes, Celebrex has been known to cause hypertension, in some people that take it and yes, it can also cause some aortic valve problems. It isn't likely that you can prove that this was all caused by the Celebrex, but the possibility ...

I live in Scotland, answering to your concerns of dodgy fake Watson tubs, they do look proffessenally done lol. I tasted one and they are horrid. No Diazepam in them period. They taste exactly like the fake tensium from yrs ago, gritty and I don't have a taste to compare with other than fake tensium from way back. Honestly buddy they are rancid, if they were Watson they'd say Dan 562; if I got the numbers wrong I stand corrected lol. The price set alarm bells ringing with me instantly. My opinion is activist took over and the labels and bottles from old Watson tubs were stolen from factory, only opinion.

Please explain to me why your company took at least 3 plus days to deliver the compounding base formula of Fentanyl to the pharmaceutical companies to prepare and deliver the product on time so that patients like myself and so,so, many others didn't have to suffer this past week. My appointment was changed by my doctor 3 times and my Interthecal Pain Pump had been alarming for 2 of those days. Even after starting my break through medication I still detoxed. Hi my daughter is three years old right now she has a high temperature and upset stomach i'm wondering if this de chlor will do any justice until we reach the er? ## De Chlor Dr Liquid is a combination medication used to treat symptoms caused by the common cold, flu, allergies, hay fever, or other breathing illnesses (e.g., sinusitis, bronchitis). Some otherwise 'alarming' information that I gathered states however that: "these Cough-and-cold products have not been shown to be safe or effective in children younger than 6 years. Therefore, do not use this product to treat cold symptoms in children younger than 6 years unless specifically directed by the doctor. Some products (such as long-acting tablets/capsules) are not recommended for use in children younger than 12 yea...

My bp is 120/50. I am 78 years old. Is it a normal bp? ## Have you consulted a doctor? Are you experiencing any symptoms? The 50 is low, but unless it is causing you any problematic symptoms, then it is likely nothing to worry about. However, your doctor may want to conduct some tests on heart function to make sure there aren't any problems. ## My patient is 90 year old and she is taking a lot of medicines. Is anyone willing to start a petition with me on Chang.org due to Actavis taking over Watson. For four years I have been satisfied with taking the Watsonn Oxycodone 10mg with no problems. I suffer with severe spinal injury along with arthritis and fibromyalgia. One day about four months ago, I noticed my medication was oval shaped and small. I was not alarmed but after taking it for a week, I noticed that I was in severe and unusual pain with irritability and headaches. I called the pharmacist who also happens to be a friend of mine and she stated that Actavis has now taken over Watson and that all Walgreens stores are now carrying Actavis.
