What is the maximum amount of time Prednisone can remain in your system?

Due to acute, severe Osteoarthritic shoulder pain, an Emergency Room physician prescribed one, 10mg/21 tablet medrol dose pak, of Prednisone (Prednisone is written in big bold black letters, on the yellow box), to be taken over a six day period, in equally divided doses, one less tablet each day: 6-5-4-3-2-1), along with a sling and NO X-Rays. I filled the prescription on Tuesday and started taking it, but by around 6pm on Tuesday, my shoulder was even worse! Having heard the news that another local hospital was better, I went to the alternate and "that" hospital ER physician (an M.D. this time, as opposed to a P.A., on Monday), gave me a much better sling, a swathe, as well, a "complete* series of shoulder X-Rays, and yet another prescription for the "identical" box... ...

Can aspirin for thrombosis be mixed with oxycodone acetaminophen & prednisone?
1 Reply RSS
can oxycodone acetaminophen 5 325 be taken with 325 mg of aspirin? I'm having a lot of leg pain. I also have been diagnosed with superficial thrombosis, so I'm supposed to be taking aspirin every day. Also wondering if prednisone can be taken with aspirin, or should be taken at all with superficial thrombosis? The prednisone was prescribed to treat the severe leg pain I was having due to sciatica nerve issues. For some reason I think that you should avoid steroids if you have superficial blood clots, but not sure. ## Hello, Royalpain79! How are you doing? Sorry that you've been in pain. With your rather complicated medical history, you really need to check all of this out with your doctor. It would be remiss of anyone online that isn't familiar with it to try to advise y... ...

I took 3 pills accidental because I read the label wrong. I'm so worried to even go to sleep ugh. Can anything happen to me? Can I still take my sleeping pills, muscle relaxers and my pain pill wish is percocet 20mg... please help! I've never been so worried.:-( ## You'll be fine. 60 MG is still a starting dose. Perhaps be more careful next time? ;/ If it happened to me, I would still take my Percocet, sleeping pills, and muscle relaxers. ## No do NOT mix perocet with muscle relaxers and sleeping pills. It will interfere with your respiratory system. Remember what happened to Heath Ledger? First of all, 20mg of percocet is awfully high on its own. Don't compound the risk. ## And as to the other reply, 60mg IS NOT a starting dose for percocet. That is insane. They only ma... ...

If you're able to give me more detail, I can definitely do some research and look at the other options you have. Until then, I would like to recommend acupuncture and essential oils. There are studies that can prove the accuracy of both those methods for pain. I've personally had acupuncture performed on a painful nerve in my foot and it helped tremendously. Essential oils are also beneficial in conjunction with massage therapy. I'll post a link to a page that provides information about certain oils used for pain... ...

I have had two back surgeries. I have had the injections, I have taken Prednisone 10 mg, cyclobenzapr 10 mg. and Hydroco acetaminop 10 mg. The doctors informed me that I have 2 pinched nerves. I have difficulty in walking. The doctor asked me Can you live with it. I'm 74 years old and he asks me that question. I like to work, go fishing, go on hikes, walk the dogs, play ball with the grand kids. 5 mg Hydro twice a day is like taking sugar coated candy. I started taking 3 a day. No help here. I'm at the cross walk. Now what do I do. ## Hello, Bear! How are you? I'm sorry that you're in pain. There is a higher dosage of this medication available that contains 10mgs of the Hydrocodone. Doctors for pain (Austin area)
Post a Reply
Hi, I have had chronic back pain for years and have seen various doctors for the problem. Most have prescribed either tramadol or hydrocodone along with muscles relaxers sometimes. I've also tried a round of steroids (prednisone) as well as non pharmaceutical options like physical therapy, stretching and light exercise when I can tolerate it in an effort to strengthen my core. Most of these treatments have helped to some degree but the pain inevitably returns (and really many of the medications have only slightly dulled the pain but I still have had difficulty getting through the day even when taking them. So my question is, are there any sympathetic docs in the Austin area (or north like Cedar Park or Leander) who are willing to prescribe stronger pain meds and muscle relaxers anym... ...

Viibryd and severe joint pain
7 Replies RSS
I was on viibryd for a year and a half. Soon after starting the medication (40 mg) I started having aches and pains in my joints but I didn't think anything of it because I had recently had ankle surgery and attributed some of the discomfort from that. As the pain in my joints spread I became more concerned as I have Crohn's disease and there is arthritis that is related to Crohn's disease. So as the pain and inflammation increased I went to see my GI DR. and he felt it was Crohn's Arthritis and started me on Humira. Well this didn't help and the joint pain and inflammation continued to progressively get worse. So I was referred by my primary to a Rheumotologist and was started on heavy doses of Prednisone still with the diagnosis of Crohn's arthritis. This bring... ...

I am working full time as a steamfitter and work on gas pipelines. consequently most days If I am working the pipeline I wont take the norco as prescribed so as not to be impaired while working, I have about 4 years until I can retire. Skin rash, shoulder and arm pain, difficulty swallowing

Hello, my wife began a rash on her hand that spread to the arm and then the other arm, neck, and upper chest. Deep pain and weakness began about 2 weeks into the rash. Doctors were consulted in Comoros where we live, blood tests done. Even the doctors said testing is not good here so we traveled to Nairobi. 2 doctors, several blood tests and meds later she is still not well. Latest doc says muscle infection and prescribed Prednisone and Nexium. We are concerned about steroid side effects. Doc prescribed these because of a CPK level of 616. Thank you for any advice! ## Hello Chris! Who is your wife doing? What did they give her for the infection? Is she on an antibiotic? I took my first dosage this morning about 10 o'clock, my mom called me to ask me how I was doing at around 1 I noticed I was extremely sassy and agitated talking to her but aft that was over things went back to normal. One day on Lyrica and still suffering months later

My doctor prescribed Lyrica for pain I was having from a back issue, and after one day on this drug my hands, wrists, elbows, knees, ankles and feet were so swollen I could not function. I couldn't even cut my food or walk more than a few steps. Both my wife and I thought I wouldn't live out the month. After being seen by several doctors I was told I was having an acute auto immune response and was put on prednisone. After two months now the swelling is improving and the dosage of steroids is going down, but I still take them or the inflammation returns. This is the first time in my life I have had any bad reaction to any drug. I regret having taken this and hope this condition isn't permanent. ## Jason, Oh my goodness!!
