Please Help!!! ## I'm sorry, but there's no way to know for sure if they will or will not help you with acne. These contraceptives use synthetic hormones, they can help some people with acne if theirs has been caused by a hormonal issue. However, there is also a chance that they can cause acne or make it worse. What has your doctor advised? Is it okay if I use Althea Pills eventhough im 17 years old and im a boy, just to treat my pimples? is there a side effect on me? ## Hello, Del! How are you? No, they will not do anything for you, except cause problems. These are hormonal based contraceptives that are formulated for women, so the doses in them are far too high for men, unless they want to start developing female characteristics, such as breasts, losing chest and facial hair... you get the picture. You need to consult your doctor and get something appropriate for you to use to treat your acne. What have you tried, so far? ## my acne problem started when i was 14 years old and i tried so many products for acne and creams for my face, and i already visited dermatologist but nothing of those recommended cure for my acne did...

Hi I started taking Diane 35 a month and a half ago and within the first week my acne started getting worse, it's not at the worst it has been in years. I have also experience severe anxiety and depression as well as a lot of shakiness. Is this just the initial breakout or should I stop taking the pill altogether ? ## Hello, Devon! How are you? These types of side effects can be normal for the first 3 months, or so, as reported by the FDA. You may also experience headache, irritability, PMS-like symptoms and spotting. However, if they get severe, or don't go away after a few months, you should consult your doctor as you may need to try a different oral contraceptive. Is there anything else I can help with?

i am facing very trouble with acne ,is evion cream is useful for acne .Can I use Evion cream on my face regularly because i have oil skin ## Evion is just a vitamin E cream, but there are some people that have said it helped with their acne, however, that isn't proven. Learn more vitamin E details here. That said, with oily skin, you do need to be careful what you use and I am not sure what all the ingredients are, so you may want to check them carefully, before using it. Are there any other questions or comments? ## My skin is oily and having chickenpox scar can i use evon 400 mg

My dermatologist prescribed me Sulfameth Tmp for acne. Is this typical? Also, since I've been taking this I've had trouble with sleep (waking up every hour, thinking I have to go to work, or stress related waking up) But I also had quit smoking & work two jobs so I'm not sure if it's that or the pills? Anyone know side effects and if this antibiotic is typical prescription for acne? ## As of the time I am reading this post in 2013, this medication is no longer commonly prescribed for acne for two reasons. The first is that it is one of the few that is still effective at treating MRSA, thus caution has to be taken so that it's not overprescribed, to try to avoid someone developing antibiotic resistance. And the second reason is due to the fact that it is a sulfa b...

sir, I was using metacortil lite cream with good results, but now I am faced with major problem of pimples & its marks because of this cream. Please tell me any suggestion about what I can do now ## Hello, Shubham! How are you? Yes, acne can be a side effect of the steroid in Metacortil, along with headache, skin irritation and dizziness. It's listed as containing Mometasone, via Medicine India. At this point, it will really just be a matter of time for it to clear up on its own. Medication side effects aren't permanent, but it may take a few weeks for things to return to normal and for it to clear up. Trying anything else, at this point, could just make things worse. Have you consulted your doctor? They may have other ideas that could help you. ## dear sir, I'm fine ...

Hiya, I have had severe acne since about 9 years old (I know, started early) and it has been a constant battle. I have had every antibiotic and treatments under the sun and the only one that seemed to do anything was Roaccutane which I was on for nearly 2 years. Of course, 6 months after coming off, my acne came back and so my dermatologist suggested trying Spironolactone as he didn't feel comfortable with me being on Roaccutane any longer. I started off with 25mg for about 3 months and then increased this to 50mg and now I'm on 75mg and I'm still really struggling with my acne!! It's been about 6 months now and I had high hopes and now I'm close to giving up. I'm also really worried about the side effects, especially long term. About 2 months ago I ended up in h...

I have acne and I took the pill, then I felt sick and I could see my veins in my body. I'm kinda scared. I don't know what this pill is and what the purpose of it is. Please get back to me with some information on it. ## This tablet is manufactured by the Lannett Company and they list it as contain 100mgs of Doxycycline, which is an antibiotic. The FDA lists its typical side effects as possibly including nausea, dizziness, headache, non-allergic skin rash, and diarrhea. Was this prescribed for you? Are you on any other medications?

what is the name of pills that help to beautiful my skin and large my boobs ## I'm sorry, but there are no miracle medications for either one. Some medications may cause a temporary enlargement of your breasts, while you are taking, due to hormone fluctuations or weight gain, but the effects are only temporary and will disappear, once you stop taking them. The same for your skin, there are some medications that can improve it or help clear up cases of acne, but that is all they do. There is nothing on the market that will give you beautiful, glowing skin and also allow it to stay that way, once the substance is stopped. Your best bet, to improve both is to get proper exercise and follow a proper diet to make sure your body is properly nourished. Are there any comments or questions? ...

Will nystatin help with my acne? I don't get it very bad. Just a couple pimples, but my chest and back are worse than my face. They get tiny white heads. Will this help or make it worse? I've been on some pills where they make it worse. Any insight you can give is awesome. Thanks. ## Hello, Kas! How are you? No, Nystatin only treats fungal infections, so it will not help with acne. Have you consulted your doctor? They should be able to find something that will help you. Another tip is to always wash those areas of your body last, when showering, that way any lingering oils from your shampoo or other products you use don't stay on the skin to worsen the breakouts.

I've been breaking out lately and have had many big nasty red pimples, so I was wondering if I used this would it clear it up??? ## Hello, Girly! How are you? You shouldn't use a prescription product, if it wasn't prescribed for you and, since this one is not formulated to treat acne, it could actually contain something that might make it worse. Have you consulted your doctor? Are you on any other medications? Has anything changed in your diet or skin care routine recently? ## Can I use Gelmicin to get rid of stretch marks? ## Can Gelmicin be used to help fade deep acne scars? ## Yes, it’s better to use unscented lotions.

How are you? The acne may return, but many people do manage to clear it up permanently using an antibiotic like this for several months. Usually, they're prescribed for about 3 to 6 months. The human skin is the outer covering of the body. In humans, it is the largest organ of the integumentary system. The skin has multiple layers of ectodermal tissue and guards the underlying muscles, bones, ligaments and internal organs.[1] Human skin is similar to that of most other mammals, except that it is not protected by a pelt. Though nearly all human skin is covered with hair follicles, it can appear hairless. There are two general types of skin, hairy and glabrous skin.[2] The adjecti...

Hi Doc. I would like to know will taking purbac get rid of pimples? And also how long should i take it for it to be effective. I have gotten it from from the pharmacy and was instructed to take one a day. ## Hello Moeyy, First I would like to say that I am not a medical professional. Each purbac tablet contains the active ingredients Trimethoprim 80 mg and Sulphamethoxazole 400mg. Both of these medications are used to fight bacterial infections, so unless your pimples are caused by some sort of bacterial infection it is not likely that this medication will have any effect. To answer your follow up question, the manufacturer's website gives the following administration instructions. [1] Prubac Adult Tablets Children 6-12 years: One Purbac Adult tablet every 12 hours after meals. Adul...

Gray and white used or acne ## Hello, Patty! How are you? That's not a lot to go on, but it might be Doxycycline, it's the one most commonly used to treat it. Clindamycin is also used. Do either of those sound familiar? Side effects to these antibiotics may include nausea, dizziness, non-allergic skin rash and diarrhea.

Ip 272. Is a generic for Bactrim DS. Treats all symptoms listed from other comments. The one thing everyone forgot to mention is that it also treats moderate to severe acne and cystic acne. Amazing how my skin cleared up since I have been using the drug. Remember to take In morning and night, preferably with food if you have a sensitive stomach, and plenty of water. I noticed after taking the drug for awhile that I did have joint pain, but other than that it works amazing.. ## @Fiat, It may help with acne as an off-label use, but the only problem I see that could stem from long term use is that, without having an actual infection to treat, this could create antibiotic resistance to the point where if you did have an infection it may end up becoming much more difficult to eradicate than ...
