There are new-generic 2017 Oxycontin now. My pharmacy filled my script with generic because they thought my Dr. Did not write "no substitution" he did by checking the "no substitution" box so they had to unfill & refill with OP's, not knowing what they are like, I did not want the generic. What do the 80 mg tablets look like? Do they work as well as the OP's? Who is the manufacturer? ## There is no generic Oxycontin currently available on the U.S. market. Pink round pill, blank on one side, straight line on the other ## Hello, Sue! How are you? If it has no imprint, then it is not an Oxycontin tablet, because they all have imprints to enable their identification. Thus, it is most likely just an over the counter product. Does anyone recognize this tablet?

I think my my drug store gave me generic instead of my regular brand name of OxyContin and charged me the same price ## Hello, Poopoo! How are you? At this time, there is no generic available for it. There is Oxycontin, which should have an OP on one side and 40 on the other side of the tablet, which is manufactured by Purdue Pharma and there is Xartemis, which is manufactured by Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals, I believe there are couple others the FDA has approved, but they are not commonly available, yet. However, all are name brand medications, in time released formulations, with abuse deterrent features. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, dry mouth, and constipation. What are the m...

What are the refill guidelines for oxycontin? Can they be filled one or two days early? ## It really depends on your pharmacy, it can be filled a day, or two early, technically, but some pharmacies won't do so, thus it is best to ask them the next time you are in to pick up a medication. The FDA warns that this medication carries the risk of being habit forming and may cause side effects, such as nausea, dizziness, headache, constipation, and dry mouth. Is there anything else I can help? ## Tamra, I was under the impression that cds II like OxyContin where not refillable. This is the first time in my life I have asked for help. That is probably why I'm asking on a website and not family or friends. I have been doing oxy for about a year or so and I want to stop. I'm 21 and want to get a hold of myself before it's too late. I only do about 1 80 mg pill a day but it's an expensive habit and it's not worth it. I need it when I wake up or I just feel terrible. Who should I talk to I have a doctor but he is short with me. I have only seen him twice and I want to pick a new one. I'm located near Sacramento California. If anyone has any advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks ## Hey Angelo, I know and have lived w/ a lot of what you're going through. Yesterday I picked up a 20 day supply of oxycontin 30 mg. It was a 20 day script. At 2 a day my px was for 60. I was HORRIFIED when the pharmacist billed me for 325.00, including my insurance discount. They claimed there is not a generic oxycontin. Oxycodone 30 mg was $15 for 60...so needless to say I was shocked!!! Is there an equivalent slow release to replace 30 mg of oxycontin? There has got to be something. I got into a bit of a habit with taking too many 30 oxycodone, which is why I was put on a slow release. Any advice out there? The pharmaceutical companies are gouging us beyond belief, and I've got a medical condition due to an accident where I need these pills, at least for another 2 months or so. The $325.00 price has me in a state of high anxiety however. Is hydromorphin...

I am on a regime from wisconsin pain clinic it works great and I get a quality of life. The AR doctors want to screw around with something that works. I need a Dr. to pick up where other drs were doing and now AR dont want to RX oxycontin or oxycodone. What is the beef? Where can I go. ## The main problem is that it is a medication that is quite commonly diverted and abused. Thus, it is under strict government control and all prescriptions they write for controlled substances must be reported to the federal government. If, for some reason, the government thinks they prescribed it for the wrong reasons, then they can face serious sanctions or the loss of their medical license. In this case, you really can't blame doctors for being extra careful. Did you bring your medical records and...

I was just reading everything on the site about oxy's. I used to abuse them and have found myself finally unfortunately I had to get arrested in the process but went to rehab and came out a new found person. I know someone who currently uses them because of the pain he has in his knee ankle and heel from a motorcycle accident he was in and currently has rumetory arthritis (spelled that wrong lol) but you got the hint. He just went to pick up his script for 60 pills and Walgreens had him sitting there for over an hour because they always tell him he needs the pre-authorization which is always sent by the doctor before he even goes to pick them up. So need less to say......he sat there for over an hour and was then told that THEY ARE DISCONTINUING 40 AND 80 MGS OPS AND OCS ALTOGETHER....

I just picked up my monthly Rx for OxyContin 80mg and they were the new generic Watson OC/OP here in the USA. They look identical to Purdue pharma pills as far as color and markings..I haven't tried them yet but I sure hope they work like the old version OC. I will let you all know if I can tell a difference. Lets hope they are somewhat as strong as the old OC formula. Im all for the protection of the pill but as far as the strength in my opinion seem like they were cut in half.. ## This is the second day on the New Generic Oxycontin Made By Watson and I must say that they are just like the old OC formula as far as the strength goes. They seem to last around 8-10 hours. They are GREAT for my pain compared to the Purdue Pharma OC/OP. Much stronger and so happy to finally have the rel...

a want to see what a oxycontin 80 op & co brand and genic picture, as well as this pill i found on the ground outside in my yard & I have a 13 yr. son it looks like the following description as follow's ## I don't have a picture to post for you. However, both the original Oxycontin and the new Oxycontin OP are round, light green tablets. They both have the number 80 on one side, then the original has OC on the opposite and the new product has OP on the opposite side. As to a generic, there is no generic of the Oxycontin available. There have been many legal battles about it and the one company that had legal right to distribute it, let their contract expire last year. If there are different markings on the pill you have, it could still be Oxycodone, but in a different fo...
